Try that Technique and 2007 on sale!

As Beth announced today, the Try that Technique challenge for this week is the Cling and Scrunch Technique from the June 2007 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter. This is such as easy technique and it makes some of the most sensational backgrounds...and there are so many variations you can try with different mediums.

My card uses two colors of color wash spray to achieve my blue "water" background. This piece is SO pretty in person -- I did it on a sheet of iridescent white from the Paper Temptress and it is just stunning in person, with its subtle shimmer. The boat image is from I Brake for stamps, and the verse is from Impression Obsession. I colored the boat with Copics Markers.

Now it is your turn to Try that Technique!

Don't have this issue? No problem! You may purchase the six 2007 issues for HALF-PRICE. From now through Wednesday, April 19th, the 2007 issues are $9.00 plus postage. Email me for an invoice TODAY -- you do NOT need to be a current TJ subscriber to order these!

Can't wait to see your art!

Try That Technique

Hi, it's Beth here, with a new technique. Diana Enns and I challenged each other to use the Cling and Scrunch technique from the June 07 issue. Normally I would have a link to Diane's awesome card, but her blog wasn't available. Could be a blogger glitch this morning. Yikes!

As you can see, I used one colour on my technique because I wanted the look of water for my ark.

Each week we challenge you to trying the technique for the week, and we are doing it again. Link yourself up to Mr. Linky for your chance to win a week on the TJ Yahoo group home page.

This week's winner is Beth Ullman. Congratulations, Beth. Your awesome card is on our home page. Yahoo!
