Shoot For The Moon

Hi.  Lynda Joy here, with a card for this last day of May.  Tomorrow we will be showing cards for the June new stamps release.
I used the  stamp.  I stamped the Shoot For The Moon image onto white card stock, and colored with Arteza real brush markers.

I used some glitter film over the image to give it sparkle, then layered it onto a card.

Inside:  I used the Have Faith In Your Dreams stamp for the inside of the card.

That's it for today.  I hope you enjoyed the May release.
Now come on back tomorrow for the June Release and blog hop!

Blessings,

Stand Tall

Hello everyone,
It's Ceal here to share a card with you today using a stamp from the February release Giraffe Print and I paired it up with the Why Fit In

You can save 10% on these stamps and your entire order by using my code TJ10Ceal

To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base and stamped the Giraffe Print with the Atelier ink and then sponged some around the background stamp to make it a little darker.
I watercolored the giraffe of the Why Fit in set with the Atelier ink also.

TJ Inspiration: Distressed Foil with no Heat -- and a kit, too!

I had this simple technique rolling around in my head this week, and it was time to commit that idea to pictures. I love how it turned out!
Distressed Foil Paw Prints

Today we are using a Stencil, Therm O Web Transfer Gel Duo and Heat Transfer Foil with a Big Shot (no heat!) to create a shiny distressed effect. I like how it turned out so much that I created two little kits for you so that you can make these fun cards, too!

Before I show you the kits, I realize that not everyone has a cat or dog, so the kit may not be good for all of you. To compensate for this, you can take 25% off ALL foils in the foil category until June 8th by using the code FOIL25 as a coupon code (retail sales only, please!).

So here are the kits that are dog and cat themed:

Before I get to the video, here are the cards from the kits:

Here is the video showing how the cards were made:

I hope you have as much fun with this technique as I did!
I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week!

Sincerely,

Black Cat and Tulips

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a few cards using stamps from the May 2020 Technique Junkies release. Today, I'm stamping with 'Tulip with Text', Inside Out Old FartFive Fab Phrases, and 'A Little Black Cat' from the May 2020 release. I've also used 'Forget Me Nots'.

Here are my cards:

The sentiment (from the Five Fab Phrases set), was stamped on patterned paper with Versafine black ink, and that panel was adhered to a pink card base.  The black cat was stamped on white cardstock, fussy cut, and adhered with dimensional foam. That's it!

For this card, I chose a blue card base, and a black mat.  I then stamped the background (Forget me Nots) with a pale gray ink, and colored with Copic markers.  I added a strip of black trim and blue glitter to give the cat a place to sit. Then the cat was stamped, fussy cut, and adhered to the card with dimensional foam.

For this card, the Tulip with Text was stamped on Kraft Cardstock, and adhered to a pink base.
I used some pink scrap, and a scrap of polka dot for the sentiment (from the Inside Out Old Fart Set). The sentiment panel was attached with dimensional foam.

This time, I stamped on a blue patterned paper, and the sentiment was created the same way as the above card.

These were easy to create - I hope you'll try them yourself!

Smile...While You Still Have Teeth!

I've been playing around with some of the new releases for May. What fun! This combination is the perfect thing to bring a little humor to your life.

I am loving this little old man! The expression on his face is priceless! The two stamps I used for this card are:

OLD MAN (SD1023)
LIFE IS SHORT (SDX128)
The card was so simple to make. I started with an A2 card base in white. I added a black piece of cardstock cut to 5.25" x 4". I stamped the sentiment on a white panel and trimmed it down. I stamped the Old Man, colored him with Polychromos pencils, and fussy-cut the image. Using foam adhesive, I popped him on top of the sentiment banner. Card done! Easy Peasy! I'm loving the combination of this image and sentiment! What do you think?

If you are loving these stamps too (or any others from Technique Junkies), you can save 10% by entering this code at checkout:
The best part is that this code never expires, so you can use it any time on any order!

Hope you enjoyed my fun little project today. What tickles your funny bone?

Til next time
Keepin' it inky!

Just be Sweet!

I  used Tulip with Text and words from Five Fab Phrases.  This is a great set.    I think you can make more than five phrases from this set!

Here are the phrases I came up with from this set.  Can you come up with more?
Just be sweet
Just Smile
Just Enjoy
Just Hello
Just be happy
Just dream
Simply smile
Simply dream
Simply be happy
You make me dream
You make me happy
You make me smile.

I stamped the image three times.  I sprayed the background with Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss.   Then I painted the second image of just the tulip  with Shimmering Bliss.   I used a green for the stem and leaves.  And I used a red for the tulip it self.  But you could use purple, yellow, pink, dark blue, and a mixture of these same colors. I fussy cut the entire tulips out and popped it up.  Then I painted and cut out just the third tulip and popped it up again.  I added a tiny red bow at the base of the tulip.

The words were  stamped and heat embossed and cut out, layered, and mounted.

Save some moolah by inserting the code TJ10Judy  in the coupon box when you  check out.  YOu will save 10% when you check out.

Have a marvelous day and I hope you and your family are well.   I hope you have some time to get inky!!

Extraordinary Wildflowers

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I felt like making a landscape type of card.  I started by brushing various colors (greens, yellow, oranges, red, purple) of ink onto some white cardstock with the Ink Blending Brushes.  Then I stamped the Growing Wild stamp with black ink right onto my inky background.  Lastly, I stamped the You Are Extraordinary with the same black ink onto some white cardstock, cut it out, and adhered it to the wildflower scene.  I'm in love with this card as these are the kind I like to make, full of color with silhouettes of nature.  :-)

TJ Inkspiration: Feather Cards and Kit

I think it is pretty apparent that I can easily be obsessed with craft tools and toys when I start to play with them. Actually, I don't think I would be stretching anyone's imagination to say that I am not unusual in the crafting world in that respect!

This week I became obsessed with this fun Layered Feather 4-piece stencil from A Colorful Life Designs:
Layered Feather Stencil

I played with it so much, and was so inspired by it, that I created Card Kits for you using the stencil so I could share my obsession. Each of the kits includes everything you need (except black ink) to create 10 gorgeous cards, including 3 inks, One Shimmering Bliss Spray, the stencil, a stamp set, a blending brush, and all the paper needed for the cards.

And... since I know that once you see all the cards, you will want all the color combinations, I added ink and spray-only packages to the kit area so that you can grab any other favorites you want without having to buy the kit a second time.

And...did I mention the discount? The kits are priced at 20% off normal retail price! Beauty AND a Bargain!

And...I created a video for the cards so that you can follow along to see how the cards are made.

Before I get to the video, here are the cards from the kits:

Life is Short

Hello friends!
Let me show you a fun card I made using stamps from the May Release!

Details:
Stamp Old Man on white cardstock in Black Ink, color it with marker, here I used Copics.
Mask image and stamp Brick Wall background in light color ink.
Blend blue ink on bottom part.
Stamp Life is Short sentiment in dark brown ink.
Trim image.
For the foil background, adhere a piece of Teal Foil to a toner paper piece, insert to a laminator and die-cut to desire size, here I want it about 1/4" bigger on each side behind my stamped piece.

Here you can see how beautiful is the foiling piece, super shiny!!
You can use my TJ10Giovana and get a 10% discount in your entire order.

Hope you like it.
Have a great day!

Little Black Cat

Happy Wednesday!

I think any animal goes with everything so this new stamp is my kind of stamp.

I created the background by adding some light blue ink on a light blue card and then added some glitter, I stamped A Little Black Cat in black ink and then cut it out and added it onto the card.

Being a Family

Hello folks! This is such a wonderful stamp, and I'm sure you have seen a lot of beautiful cards from the Design Team.  For my card, I turned to Pinterest to look at colour combinations and I thought this one was an interesting one.  I hope you like.

I gold embossed the sentiment on the peacock colour and heat embossed on the rustic orange colour.

For 10% off this stamp called Being a Family, use the code above.  You can use it on the rest of the store as well.
