Time to Nest

 

Hi, it's Gini, and I'm excited to share my first blog post with you today on the Technique Junkies blog!  I love trying new techniques and of course, adore beautiful stamps - so this is the perfect place for me.

I used two different stamps for my background - Burlap Flowers and Fat Smudged Lines.  I had fun with some embossing techniques, including a variation of the Outlined Resist Tutorial from the Bodacious Background Stamps CD.  

My focal image, Nesting Bird, was colored with Spectrum Aqua markers.  I then cut the image and used foam adhesive to apply it to the card.

The sentiment is from the very fun Mae West Sentiments (from the Palettini Collection).

Angelic Outlined Resist

Hello folks, it's Beth Norman here with a very bright and colourful card for you.  I'm in love with my angel and background stamp which paired together go beautifully.  Both stamps are from Technique Junkies Stamps.

My background uses the Outlined Resist technique.  My angel was coloured with Prismacolour pencil crayons and OMS.

While you're in the house staying warm and toasty from the nasty arctic air, why not play around with some of our techniques.
