Happy Thursday to everyone in bogland! I hope this day finds everyone well and ready for the Thanksgiving holiday. It is my favorite holiday because it is all about the gratitude. I am grateful to Technique Junkies and their enormous variety of quality red rubber stamps! Also, I am grateful to be on their design team! Today I am showcasing an older stamp, Vintage Merry Christmas and a new sentiment, Retro Merry Christmas.
Using watercolor paper, I did an ink, spray smash background with grape, pink and turquoise. Next, I stamped the image and colored them in with Zig watercolor brush markers. The pale purple mat was embossed and matted in black...lastly, a white card base.
Starting with white card stock for the trees, I sponged on acrylic inks in vintage red, dark green and yellow....finishing with a touch of white. Next, I decided to die cut my image into T.H. trees. I am fairly new to using die cuts and discovered that I should've put the acrylic sponged paper onto double-sided sticky paper. It is very hard to glue these down without making a very sticky mess! My vintage sentiment was stamped and cut into a banner and put on dimensionals.
Go check out Technique Junkies for all things wonderful here.
Cheers,
Pam
