More New January Release Fun!

Greetings my Inky Friends!

Tonya in today and I'm here to show you a couple more of the January Releases!

I'm going to start with this fun little puppy called Perfect Companions.

It's hard to see the shimmer in the background but I used Perfect Pearls and clear embossing powder in a technique from the Emboss or Die CD! So many fun step-by-step tutorials if you like to heat/dry emboss, use a die cutting machine and so much more!

Next up is this sassy little card to send to your main squeeze!

The SENTIMENT cracked me up and well, I can kinda relate! ;)  I was so happy to have already owned the Fan Girl stamp and thought she fit perfectly with the saying!

For this background, I used alcohol inks and a stencil from the Sensational Stencils CD and then I also ran it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder.

Fright Night!!

Jerri here from A bushel and a hug to share a card I made with one of the new September stamps.

I had a lot of fun the other day playing with this card.  I used an embossing folder to create the background.  I inked up the inside of the folder with some purple and a tad bit of orange Distress Stain from Tim Holtz.  I did this one some watercolor paper.  The technique can be found on the Emboss or Die CD.  Once the paper was dry I brushed my black inked across the top of the raised portion to add even more dimension.  I also rubbed some of the metallic stain on some areas.  And.... because I can't leave well enough alone sometimes, I also added some white to a couple of the raised areas using a white pen.  I wanted to make sure they popped against the purple background.

The featured stamp on this project is called Fright Night. I love this stamp and actually used it on my card last week as well.  I love it so much though that I thought it could be used alone.  I stamped it on a piece of white card stock and then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  Once cut out, I rubbed some of the Tim Holtz Pumice Stone and some of the Tim Holtz Black Soot along the edges.

Cherish Friendship - Pastel Painted Embossing

I love to use the Pastel Painted Embossing Technique on embossed cards.  This easy technique from the Emboss or Die CD adds pretty depth to the background of a simple card. On this card, I colored the goose with pastels and a blender before layering him over my background. All stamps by Stampin' Up!.

Antique Wallpaper

{Jane Bosi} This past week's Try That Technique was Antique Wallpaper so, I thought I'd share my take on it! I've used a lovely stamp from I Brake For Stamps and sentiment from Our Craft Lounge. Kissed Folder

Hello everyone...Donna here.  To commemorate Earth Day today, I'm sharing this natural, earthy, and green card that I made using the Kissed Folder technique from the Emboss or Die CD. This is such a great technique to add just a bit of texture to solid stamps, like I did here with my trees.  The tree stamps I used are from Memory Box and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Ann's Antique Wallpaper

Here is a darling image for you from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.  This little Sunflower girl just screamed for a tiny bit of sparkle so I used my Spica and Glitter Gel pens.  The background is one of the techniques from the new Emboss or Die CD called Antique Wallpaper.  It was also featured last summer in the June/July issue.  There are sooooo many great techniques on that CD.  The image is colored with copics.  Enjoy!

White on White

Hey!  Ann Clack here today!

I happened to use one of the techniques from the new Emboss or Die CD today.  This one is called White on White.  Although I do have a lot of color on my card.  This is one of the designs I'm working up for cards for an International Rhododendron Society convention in May!  I love the 'class' that the white on white gives this card.  Hope you enjoy.

Faux Delft Tiles

Hi!  Donna here.  I made a card last week with a little Dutch girl image and complete forgot about this technique from the new Emboss or Die CD.  I know, I know...how could I?  To make up for my Faux Delft Tiles faux pas, I decided to showcase the technique in my post today.  Oh my, I'm adding this one to my list of fave techniques!

Cuttlequilt by Hetty

Yes, the new cd is here: Emboss or die! I love the title. How can one live without the cuttlebug... I thought I could, but now that I have it, I cannot live without using it. So many wonderful ways of using it and it is all on one cd! Here is one of the techniques called "Cuttlequilt". And I guess the name says it all.
What I like about this technique is that you can use all the little pieces that are lying around. Or all those background try-outs that you haven't used yet. Here is what you can do with it.

Nesties Spotlighting

When I first came up with this technique, I had intended it for more elaborate Nestibilities Shapes -- but it works well with Nesties rectangles, too!

This is an example of Nestibilities Spotlighting from the new Emboss or Die CD. I LOVE this card -- so perfect for a Sympathy card. Stamps are from I Brake for Stamps (sentiment) and smARTworks (leaves).

Emboss or Die CD: White on White by Judy Jackson

This really and truly is White on White. But because of the half-pearls I had a hard time getting the scanned image to display a "pure" white on white image.

In addition to using the White on White Technique from the new CD, I watercolored the image of this sweet little girl. This image is from Stampin' Up! There a very pale shimmery lavender paper underneath the little girls.This is a fun and elegant way to create a lovely card.
