All About Autumn - 2 versions

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  This new stamp from Technique Junkies, called All About Autumn, lists all the wonderful things that we love about the fall season.  This is a full A2 background stamp, 5.5" x 4.25", and I've got two different versions to share with you today.

For my first card above, I stamped All About Autumn with Versamark, covered it with copper embossing powder, and melted the powder.  Then I brushed on several colors of distress inks in an ombre pattern with the yellow on top and the deep red at the bottom.

For my second card, I inked up the All About Autumn stamp with the various ombre colors and pressed it onto white cardstock.  Then I taped some clear plastic over the stamped image and filled it with sequins to make it a shaker card.

Which version do you like best, the copper ombre card or the ombre shaker card?  This All About Autumn stamp is on sale at 15% off until September 8, and you can use my code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% off everything else in the Technique Junkies store.  Check out all the fantastic stamps, stencils, and Shimmering Bliss sprays, and have a wonderful day!

Dandelion Rainbow

It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this dandelion rainbow card that I created.  I started by stamping the fun new Modern Dandelions with Versamark ink onto some kraft cardstock.  I covered the image with white embossing powder and melted it with a heat tool.  While I had the white powder out, I stamped the Guide Your Wishes sentiment with Versamark, covered it with the white embossing powder, and melted that with the heat tool, as well.

To make the dandelions really stand out, I pulled out a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks and covered each dandelion head with ink using a finger dauber.  When I was done with all five colors, I used a soft paper towel to lightly burnish the ink off the embossing powder.  I added the sentiment below the "rainbow" and adhered this to a kraft card base.

Itoh Peony

Hey everyone! Jessie here today sharing some embossing and Brusho card making.

I started by embossing the Itoh Peony stamp onto some Bee Watercolor Paper.

I then wet down the paper, and sprinkled the Sunburst Yellow near the flower centers, Allowing that to dry partially I then wet the paper again and sprinkled on the Alizarin Crimson, then spraying it a little more to help it move around the page. After that, we play the waiting game, and let the watercolours dry.

Once that was dry, I cut down the front panel to fit on the front of the card. Pulling out a Hello die from my stash I cut it out of the coloured pannel and 4 times out of white cardstock to build it up.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugz

TJ Inkspirations - White Emboss Resist Colorations

I have been working a long time with the Art Anthology Colorations sprays, and it is no secret that I love them. They have so many beautiful applications and the colors are sublime.

My favorite technique to use with them is resist. Today I am showing you how beautiful they are with a white embossed resist. The backgrounds I am using are from the new October Release stamps, which are still 15% off through end-of-day on October 8th.
One of the questions I am asked frequently is whether the Art Anthology sprays come in kits...well now they do! Art Anthology has created 3 kits exclusively for Technique Junkies - each kit has 5 colors of sprays plus a bottle of Fairy Dust.  In my opinion, each kit gives you the opportunity to create beautiful projects with a nice selection of tone-matching colors. You can choose from Bright, Vintage and Royal Kits. And just for the next week, you can use the code sprays at checkout to receive 10% off the kits.

Here are the stamps used in this email:

Colorations White Resist
This technique starts with just a white-embossed background stamp:
The Colorations sprays are added, then wiped off the embossing when the whole piece is covered with color:

I recommend embossing and spraying more than one piece at a time (it minimizes the spraying "mess":
Theses pieces can air-dry, or be dried with a heat tool:

I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week!

Beautiful and Magical Creatures.

Hello everyone, Chris here, sharing a few more projects made with the new Technique Junkies June stamps!  Did you shop yet?  There's still time to get your hands on these fun new stamps!

I'm sharing two projects which highlight two new creature stamps from the Technique Junkies release:  Turtles and Hummingbirds.  Both of which fascinate me in real life.  They are both such majestic creatures.

This card features Swirl Turtle and Advice from a Sea Turtle with an embossed resist technique background and Distress Oxide inks.

This card features the new Watercolor Hummingbird which is watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut out and adhered to a panel ink sponged with the Grunge Dots Stencil. The sentiment is Always Find a Song.

Make sure you check out all the new June release stamps at Technique Junkies!

Until next time,
Chris

Rounded Squares by Judy Jackson

This is Judy Jackson greeting you today. I have been stamping even though you may not have seen much activity from me.  I have been busy creating cards with the new Technique Junkie Stamps.  Don't new stamps always give you new "mojo" for stamping?  They do me!

So this Easter card uses all Technique Junkie stamps. http://www.stampcamp.com/index.html

This is such a wonderful little set of eggs -  they remind me of the decorative eggs from Romania where our daughter and hubby are missionaries.

This technique is from the February March TJ newsletter.

Have a wonderful stamping day!

Judy Jackson
