Two Years in Review

I thought it would be fun to go through all the cards I've made and share 10 of my favorites (plus a new one).

This was one of the first cards I made with Technique Junkies Stamps ... and it's still one of my favorites.  I love the unexpected Pine Cones in pink.

I love the great masculine stamps ... this shimmery Life and Beer looks good enough to drink and the fun Paint Rings Background Stamp is perfect for all of the different drink stamps.

I've made lots of clean and classy wedding cards with the Bride with Bouquet Stamp ... this one was simply stamped and accented with adhesive pearls ... and how perfectly elegant is the sentiment from Wedding Wishes.

I used this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! with the Bride with Bouquet Stamp and Wedding Wishes sentiment for a new card.  

I stamped the Bride on Lace Designer paper and colored her bouquet with pencils.

I love exercising my marker and pencil skills with all of the gorgeous floral stamps at Technique Junkies ... the Hydrangeas is one of my personal favorites because it reminds me of my grandma.  The sentiment is from the oh-so-versatile Simple Sentiments 1a.

This sentiment & image combination (Dear Santa with  Christmas Kitty) was the one I used the most ... I love this kitty in red.  And if you love CAT stamps ... Technique Junkies is the store for you.

I love the striking beauty and simplicity of the Side Hat (especially with the pop of those red lips) ... and Audacity is the perfect companion sentiment.

I first fell in love with Technique Junkies because of their techniques ... I learned so many things throughout the years.  Love how the Winter Foliage Background worked with this marker and water technique.   The All is Calm Sentiment is perfect for the holidays.

The Framed Sunflower is perfect for practicing some water-coloring ... so big and bold.  Sentiment is from the Super-Versatile Simple Sentiments 1b.

Technique Junkies is indeed the Queen of Background Stamps ... and the Red Rubber is so perfect for all sorts of techniques.  This one played with Distress Oxide Sprays and the lovely Christmas Lights ... the slight shading on each bulb makes it perfect for coloring.  Sentiment is from the super-affordable set of six Victorian Greetings.

This inky, splattery beauty just might be my favorite ... the Big Butterfly Collage is so perfect for all sorts of inky play.

Today I made a card for the current theme challenge at The Paper Players ... to make a Snowman Card.

I thought the adorable Snowman Stamp was perfect, since he is also dressed in a Scarf & Hat like the cutie in the photograph.

I started by creating a *snowy* background using the Grunge Dots Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with white texture paste.

Next I stamped the snowman on white cardstock, colored his hat, scarf, buttons & nose with Spectrum Noir Markers, and added glossy accents to the buttons and his eyes before detail cutting him out.  I'm also joining the SNOW Challenge at Use Your Stuff (can't even tell you how old that Embossing Paste was from my stash ... felt so good to use it ... and that fabulous stencil was still sitting in my studio unopened).

How cute is that round little guy.  Sentiment is from Victorian Greetings.

Day 28 of Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

I've been having fun with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags ... so today I'm combining that inspiration with the 30 Days of Christmas at Technique Junkies.

I started with a tag inspired by this lovely tag by Tracey McNeely's Tag from Day 12.  I liked the stamped background and the contrast of the red with the neutral background.

For my reindeer background, I used Reindeer Names stamped in red on ivory cardstock. and then die cut it with a Tag Die.

The tiny sentiment is from a set called Santa Says.  Instead of gold cord, I used gold ribbon to tie a bow around the red ribbon.

For the second tag, I took my inspiration from this lovely tag from Day 11 by talented Tracey.

I stamped the smaller poinsettia from Technique Junkies Poinsettias (set of 4) three times in red ink on white cardstock. Then I detail cut each flower and attached them to the top of my tag.  Since I didn't color my blooms, I used a red tag to get similar contrast to my inspiration tag.

I added a sentiment from Technique Junkies Victorian Greetings and a few white enamel dots.

Day 14 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

The first time I created with the Holiday Doodles Stamp, I spent a few days filling it in with relaxing marker coloring.

Today I'm going to share other ways to use this fabulous Holiday Doodles Background Stamp which are much quicker, but still capture all of the glorious details.  Remember, all Christmas stamps are 20% off (and you can use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for another 10% off your order).

For the first card, I used my MISTI to stamp the background in Black Ink and then clear embossed.

Next I sprayed the background with two colors of Shimmering Bliss - Vivid Volt and Miami Vice (don't tell the other colors, but these two are my favorite).  You can see the gorgeous glittery shimmer in the photo.

I added a wrap of seam binding and stamped the sentiment from Victorian Greetings (set of 6) on a scrap of the sprayed paper.  I love how you can see the variation of color between the two sprays.

Next, I inked the stamp using Staz-On Black Ink and my MISTI and stamped it on one of my Acrylic Paint Gel Press Prints.  I clear embossed to really make the pattern pop.

I added some black nail heads and some Love from Lizi Peel-Off Stickers to frame the image (I trimmed it leaving a border of sprayed edge remaining around the stamping).   The sentiment is another from Victorian Greetings.

The third one I stamped the Holiday Doodles on another Gel Press print this time made with shades of vibrant greens (you can click on the photos to see them larger with more details).

This one I framed with Gold Peel-off and matted on a piece of bright green glitter paper for a bit more sparkle.  Love how the variation in the paint colors shows through the gorgeous stamp.

I hope I've given you some ideas on how to use this fabulous Holiday Doodles Stamp.  I had lots of fun making them.

Boo Convention

Today I made a few more Halloween cards to get in the mail ... I like mailing Halloween cards because they are unexpected and lots of fun to make.

I started with the background stamp Boo Convention and Inspiration from the current TGIF Challenge.

Instead of an orange raccoon with a mask, I added some orange cat stickers with sunglasses to my boo crew.  Sentiment is Technique Junkies Happy Halloween.

My next card took it's inspiration from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie.

I used a small heart punch and a navy gem to add a bow to one of my ghosties ... and I added a black cat with purple sunglasses for some company.

I also took my color palette from the Just Us Girls Challenge ... the Boo Convention stamped in green almost makes them look like they are glowing in the dark.

Coffee ... Priceless

My card today is inspired by both the sketch and picture at the current Fusion Card Challenge - Coffee.

I inked-up two of my Technique Junkies Coffee stamps - Cups 'n Mugs and Coffee Barcode (2 must-have stamps if you're a coffee stamp collector like me) - in coffee-colored Versafine Clair Acorn Ink ... remember, you can get 10% off those stamps and anything else you purchase from the Technique Junkies store using my discount code TJ10Stephanie.

I cut the background stamp in half and added the border (inspired by the color of the notebook in the photo) between the pieces and the Coffee Barcode Sentiment mounted on foam tape.

I finished by adding some gold metal circle embellishments to the centers of the flowers on several of the Coffee Cups.

For the first stamping I used Seedless Preserves and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Ink and my MISTI.

Next, I cut it into a 4" circle for this week's Sketch from The Paper Players.

I paired it with coordinating cardstock, a paper flower and the Grunge Thank You Sentiment.  

I had another circle sketch in my feed from Sunday Sketch Challenge, stamped Vintage Floral Collage a second time using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink with some Seedless Preserves.  This time I cut a 3" circle for the sketch.

This time I added a Thank You from Simple Sentiments Style B and finished with some sequins.
