Random Coloring by Judy Jackson

I am think of you from Judy Jackson.

I have loved this giraffe stamp for years now. It is one of my "go to" stamps when I need a solid image stamp.

It was certainly a fun stamp to use for this Random Coloring technique in the February issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter.

Have a great day!

Oscar Night

Hello stampers, Hetty here and  I am into the Oscars this week.
Yes on Sunday we will know the winners and all of us will have fun watching
the red carpet dresses and the big show.

I made this card with a fun technique from Aug/Sept 2009
called Punched Window.
It is a pitty that gold and silver are not such good colors
to either scan or photograph,
but I hope you can imagine these colors on the right spot.

I have used the cloisonné mini star by Michael Strong
embossed in silver or gold and the images and sentiment are

Christmas Black and White Tri Shutter Card

Hello my friends!

Kathie McGuire here on your stamping weekend. I'm hoping my Tri Shutter card from the Fancy Folds and Motion CD will inspire you to make one, too!

All stamps are from The Rubber Cafe--I thought they were a perfect fit for this non-traditional colored Christmas card. I used a nice, sturdy black cardstock for the base from The Paper Temptress.

The clear crystals below the candle image are also from The Rubber Cafe; the hanging beads were a dollar store purchase. They come on a long piece of ribbon, so I cut them into individual pieces and taped each piece on the back side of the thin panel. Most people think I strung the beads by hand and are always surprised to learn it's a cheap and easy trick to use to embellish a card.

The black and white paper is a flocked pattern paper I purchased.

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and thanks for stopping by.

Layered Masking by Judy Jackson

Hello from Judy Jackson. This is a technique from the February issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter.

This card uses stamps from Stampin' Up, Mark's Finest Papers, Stamp Scapes, and Stamparosa. I even embossed an image on the larger than normal flower brad. That was fun to do!

This was a fun technique to use creating a lovely card. I hope you try it soon and show it to the rest of us!

I am looking forward to seeing leaves on trees!

Have a wonderful day!

Textured Blossoms Valentine by Judy Jackson

Howdy fellow stampers from Judy Jackson.

This lovely Valentine uses the Textured Blossom technique from the SU Companion CD.

It was fun to create a Valentine with this blossom! I used a small enbossing folder for the dark pink hearts near the top of the card, and a different embossing folder for the other layer. a heart button adds to the Valentine feel to this card. The Be My Valentine stamp is from Stampin' Up!

I hope you have created your Valentines and if not perhaps this card will inspire to make some!

Enjoy your day!

Cuttlebug Smoosh and Crepe Paper Flowers

Hello Technique Friends!! Kathie McGuire here to share a card I made using the Cuttlebug Smoosh technique from 10/07. My apologies in advance not getting a better picture showing more of the technique (card has already been sent or I would re-take). I covered a lot of it up with the second layer. I thought perhaps the rest of the card may inspire you to go try the technique anyway! Hope so!

The Cuttlebug Smoosh layer started this whole project, so after I had that completed I decided to delve into trying to make a little flower from crepe paper. It's delicate, but ends up being a bit more sturdy than I originally expected. I squished this flower (unintentionally) several times before it actually was given away. Each time, I was able to straighten out the petals and restore its original shape.

I hope you've enjoyed today's card; make it a creative weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

A Kraft Resist Valentine by Judy Jackson

Happy Day to you from Judy Jackson.

I love Valentines and the celebration of love! I also enjoy using and creating different ways to create Valentines for me to send to folks.

This is such a cute stamp from Rogue Redhead to use on a Valentine for a special someone! I used my Copic markers to color the focal image. Other stamp credits include Sweet and Sassy Stamps, Close to My Heart, and Stampin' Up!

The technique is the Kraft Resist technique from the February Technique Junkie newsletter. It is really a great technique and adaptable for lots of focal images!

Have a great day and I hope you are able to have some creative time for yourself!
