Holly Brown: Rose Wreath

Hi TJers! It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this spring-themed Rose Wreath card with you. I created the wreath by stamping the roses and cutting them out, then arranging them on some kraft cardstock with some punched leaves and branches. The background is the Watercolor Gesso technique from Technique Junkies. I love how this backgound has touches of all three colors - pink, moss, and kraft. Some kraft seam binding was tied into a bow and added to the top of the wreath. All the stamps on this card are from Rogue Redhead Designs.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Album Mania 2

Hello, Hetty her to wet your appetite
even more for the Album Mania CD.

This is a sample of the explosion album.
It is a wonderful album,

all together. But I hope you can see some of
the pictures of my wonderful trip to the Keukenhof in Holland.
This new CD has 35 different mini albums
with pdf tutorials, that you can easily print.
Did you take the blog hop tour to see more of
the albums that are on the cd? No?
Well go here to start the hop:
Enjoy!

Mini Album Mania Blog Hop!!

{Jane Bosi}  Hello Junkies!!!  Happy Monday!  It's the perfect day to kick off our fun blog hop!!  Today, we are hoppin' for the Mini Album Mania CD--the brand new specialty CD from the Technique Junkie Newsletter!

The Technique Junkie Newsletter Design Team members, along with two guest designers have some great projects in store for you!

I am featuring the One Sheet Wonder Album here today.  Isn't it amazing that this sweet album is made from just one sheet of paper???  My goofy daughter was happy to have her pictures added to this fun little book.  She's even taken to teaching her friends how to make something similar!  At seven years old, I'd say that's pretty cool!

Stamp images featured in my project are from:  Technique Tuesday, Stamp Camp and Firecracker Designs by Pamela.

There are many stops on the hop, please follow them all for your inspiration.  We'd love for you to leave some love on each of the designer's entries.  Early next week, our final stop--Pat Huntoon-- will announce a randomly drawn winner.  You need to comment on each blog to be considered for the prize!!

I can barely wait for you to see what Ms. Jackie Kalchert has in store for you.....but, before you go, here is the list of the entire blog hop:

Misted Stencils by Judy Jackson

Good day from Judy Jackson.  The Design Team for the Technique Junkie Newsletter has a "schedule" of sorts for posting projects and cards to inspire you!  I am posting today instead of tomorrow - which is my scheduled day.  And there is a very good reason -- so you want to be sure and mark your calendar to come view this blog tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a Blog Hop  for a NEW Technique Junkie CD!  Many stampers are also scrapbookers and scrap our lives, our grandkids's lives , scrap special events, and so on.   Many of our scrapbooks are LARGE and have lots and lots of pages.  But there are always events or occasions that we would like to make a MINI scrapbook!  Well, tomorrow's blog hop is your inspiration to be sure!  The Blog Hop will feature TJ's newest CD - Mini Album Mania!  Usually I participate in every TJ Blog Hop but I have had some health issues and am unable to participate so I am anxiously waiting to view this blog hop myself!

It will begin right here on this blog as 6:00AM Central Time.  It will feature ten different blog artists!  You can purchase the CD right here:
One lucky commenter will win their very own Mini Album Mania CD!  For more details on how this random winner will be chosen please be sure and read all of the directions.

The technique featured on this card  could certainly be used in any scrapbook - large or mini.   It is a wonderful technique in the April/May 2012 Technique Junkie newsletter.  The stencil is from Club Scrap and the message is from SmART Works.

Have a good day and see you at The Hop -- the BLOG HOP that is!

Sanded Core'dinations: Metal Style Chocolate Gift Box

Hello everyone from Kathie McGuire. My project today uses a technique called Sanded Core'dinations from the 4/10 newsletter. The substrate for this project is a metal sheet rather than white core paper. I found these sheets at Add A Little Dazzle and thought they'd look good on a box. The box is a Stampin' Up! die and four of the Hershey's nuggets candies fit perfectly in it. I used some silver cardstock to wrap around the candies and ran them through a Cuttlebug folder beforehand. The Fleur-de-lis is a Jolee's embellishment I bought at a craft store. After I die cut the box and put it together, I measured the areas where I wanted to add the bits of metals and simply cut the metal with scissors. So easy to do. I attached the metal to the box with Fabric Glue--it works beautifully! Thanks for stopping by today and taking a look at another one of my chocolate gift box projects! Kathie

SIMPLE SWIPES SEA SHELL BAY

Hello Junkies! This is Chrissy D here today! I used the Simple Swipes technique from the February/ March issue ofTechnique Junkies. I then stamped The Sea Shell Bay Labels Twenty Two stamp set from JustRite Designs available at Classy Cards 'n Such in Versamark Ink and sprinkled Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder over the image and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

I layered the Eggplant 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", 3 3/34" x 5" Layering Swatches #1 Metallic -pegasus  Embossed with DOTS Embossing Folder, 3 3/4" x 2"   Layering Swatches #1 Metallic -Bluebell, Embossed with Scrollworks Embossing Folder, punched strip (with Martha Stewart Victorian Edge punch) of Eggplant onto the 11" x 4 1/4" Not Quite Navy cardstock using ATG Tape for adhesive. I then popped up the focal image using the JOY! Foam Pads Small to give the card some dimension.

Using the Silver Viva Pearl Pen , I added some accents in each of the corners and across the Victorian punched edge. Once that dried, I used the Cream Viva Pearl Pen and added a dotted border around the entire card.To finish off the card, I wrapped the Silver Cord around and tied a bow!
I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Cut Borders by Ann

Welcome to a beautiful Saturday.  I'm Ann Clack!  As a designer, we always see the tutorials several months in advance.  We are assigned several techniques as well as several we pick of our own.  I didn't get to work on this technique yet called Cut Borders.  So easy and really fun!

I love how this card came out.  The stamp set (shells) is by Stampin Up.  The words are computer generated.  The blue paper to the side is from Paper Temptress and boy oh boy........it is absolutely wonderful.  Just a hint of sparkle and perfect for making you think of sparkling sand!

Enjoy!

Silhouette Daydream

Hi TJers! It's Holly posting today, and I've used the Silhouettes technique from the 12/10 issue on this card today. I started by sponging my background with distress inks and then I stamped this girl from Rogue Redhead Designs. I wanted a softer silhouette look, so I morphed the technique a bit. It's fun to try out new techniques and then play around with them to see what happens. :-)

Thank you card

Hello, here Hetty, with one of the
techniques from the last newsletter.
This technique is called copic colored embossing,
You find it in the April May 2012 Newsletter.

It is absolutely a fun and easy technique.
I used Stampin'Up! stamps to make this card.

Have a creative day!

Faux Quilted Diamonds--Stampin' Companion CD

{Jane Bosi} Good morning, Stampers!! Today I am sharing a card I created using the Faux Quitled Diamonds tutorial. The tutorial is located on the Stampin' Companion CD. If you don't have a copy of the CD yet, you can order it right here OR visit TJNL at the Heirloom Stamp Show this weekend in Allentown, PA!! That cute little flamingo is a digital image from I Brake For Stamps (a TJ vendor). The sentiments are from an older set I have made by Firecraker Designs by Pamela. I've shared some thoughts on my personal blog about digital stamps, you can read it here :) I hope you are all having an inky day--TTFN, Jane

Cut Borders by Judy Jackson

This fun card was created with the Cut Borders technique from the April-May 2012 TJ newsletter.

Stamp credits are Stampers Anonymous and Stampin' Up!

The verse and these fun little froggies just seemed to go together. A touch of glimmer spritz and and some googly eyes just add to the card. I had fun creating this card for you.

This is a fun new way to create a border for the focal image on a card.

I hope you have a great -- and creative -- day!

Hi fellow Junkies!! It’s Jackie Kalchert saying hello with another one of the 70 great tutorials on the Stampin’ Companion CD. Above you can see one of my favorite card folds from the CD. I have made the Accordion Pop Up Card, which is a gift all by itself, and a really fun card to make.

I used tissue paper and sides from an empty tissue box from the 99 Cent Store. The tissue paper was used on the card front background. Then a piece of the tissue box was mounted on top that.

The coat and shoes were cut on my Cricut using the Pagoda Cartridge. The red and black cardstock I used is from Paper Temptress, the Pop Tones Collection.

The inside card background is designer paper left over from another project. The geishas are from the Hearts In Touch Oriental set stamped on Cryogen White from Paper Temptress. The lanterns are from the same Cricut cartridge.

Hope you are having a great week. Thanks for stopping by to look.

Jackie
