Monochromatic Backgrounds

This week I revisited & updated a technique from the October/November 2014 Technique Junkies Newsletter - Monochromatic Silhouettes.  Remember, you get 10% off your order with my discount code TJ10Stephanie.

I was able to update the technique by using my MISTI magnets rather than having to adhere the monochromatic strips of paper to typing paper in order to hold them together for stamping.

I combined four shades of purple with the lovely Return to Sender background (inspired by my recent trip to the Smithsonian Postal Museum in Washington DC).

I added my favorite Grunge Thank You sentiment and a wrap of twine to finish this design.

For the next one I used shades of brown with the Bunch of Beans Background.

Again, super easy to stamp with my MISTI Magnets holding the paper in place.

Which level of cream are you?  I'm usually about the 2nd panel from the left in my tea.  The sentiment is Buy Coffee.

Hope this inspired you to search through your cardstock scraps for fun monochromatic card backgrounds.
