Flowy Jellyfish and Vignette Background

Hello, Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here to share a card I created with a stamp from the June 2021 Technique Junkies new release. There are so many wonderful ocean themed cards in this release. I used the Flowy Jellyfish stamp from the June 2021 release to make this card. I also used the Dream, Hope, Wish Wonderset of four sentiment stamps.

I created a video on my YouTube Channel demonstrating the "how to" make the card:

To create this card, I started with a piece of blue pearlescent card stock. I then used a sea sponge to ink around the four sides of the card. I left the center portion clear of any ink, creating a vignette background. The colors of ink that I used were Catherine Pooler's Cummerbund, Aquatina, Blue Suede Shoes, Flirty Fuchsia and Tiki Torch and I dotted ink all around the edges. I stamped the Flowy Jellyfish using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
I then used the Dream, Hope, Wish, Wonder stamp to stamp the words in
Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. I mounted the panel on a purple A2 card base.

All the new June 2021 stamps are available here:

Hello again there friends!  Hope you're having a great week and enjoying sundae's, ice cream, and if you're from Sarnia, ON, then ice cream under the bridge is what we all like to have!.  It's almost as famous as eating fries under the bridge.  "That" bridge would be the two bridges spanning where Lake St. Clair joins Lake Huron, and is the same bridge we cross to go over to the United States.

If you're new to my blog you will be interested to know that your order will be 10% off by using the code TJ10Beth.  The stamp I used is called Sundae. Happy shopping!

I painted my image with watercolours and blended several colours of brown and beige to give the waffle cone a more realistic look.

Hope you're off to a good start to your week.

Our Pelican Pun

Yes, I know this is nearly over-the-top - and the eyebrows of Mr. Peli-Can don't help the overall pun -- but the message is still good. We all need to remember to be positive about what we can accomplish, right? The background is the Zen Shells stamp, the focal image is Be A Pelican (colored with Copic Markers).

Sundae on Sunday

Yes...it is Sunday and I am posting a Sundae. How punny is that? There should be room for ice cream and sweets in your life once in a while, though, even if not every Sunday. My Copic colored waffle bowl sundae reminds me of my favorite ice cream, black raspberry it always comes as a pinky-purply ball of yummy goodness, like the stencil in the background from A Colorful Life Designs. What is your favorite flavor?

Glittery Framed Seascape

Nuvo Glitter Markers never fail to impress me! I have had the same set of markers for years and they still provide beautiful, intense, stay-put glittery color. I used them today on the Framed Seascape Stamp, and added on of the sentiments from the Ocean Framed sentiments in the center.

Every Day should be a Sundae!

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have 2 'sweet' cards to share today, using a fun new release stamp, #SD1105 Sundae, from Technique Junkies. What a great stamp - I'm totally in favor of making every day a Sundae, how about you?

Here's my first card:

I wish you could see all the shiny goodness on this card. The image was colored with Copics, and the ice cream and strawberry were covered with Glossy Accents. In real life, this looks totally yummy! The background clouds were created with Ink Blending Brushes, and A Colorful Life Designs 'Cloud Edger' Stencil.

This card was also colored with Copics, and embellished with Glossy Accents. Seriously, does this not look good enough to eat?

These were pretty easy to create, and I'm having a lot of fun with the June release! However, I think I'm going to have to say goodbye for today, and go eat some ice cream!!!

So glad you stopped by today!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible June release!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.

Sketched Beach and Fireworks

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have three fun cards to share today.

The first two cards feature a June release stamp, #S907 Sketched Beach.

The first card was stamped with black Memento Ink,  colored with Copic Markers, and adhered to the card base. The sentiment is from an older Technique Junkies set #SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b.  I love these little sentiments - there are two different sets, and they are perfect for all occasions!

This card uses a sentiment from the same sentiment set.  For this card, the image was stamped, and then ink blending brushes were used to add some color to the panel. I then used two dies, cutting out part of the image, and matting it with cardstock to match the card base. The first layer was adhered directly to the card base, and after matting, each of the next two layers were adhered using dimensional foam.

As our Independence Day is approaching, I thought it would be fun to play with some fireworks and sparkle!  I used two older stamps #S756 Fireworks, and #SD808 Like Fireworks for this card. The image was stamped with blue ink, and some stickles were used, along with some rhinestones, to add some shimmer and shine to the panel. A couple of pieces of silver cardstock were placed behind the panel, and finally, the panel was adhered to the card base.

I'm really enjoying this June release! Hope you are too!!!

So glad you stopped by today!

Shimmering Mermaid Tail

Are you a fish or a mermaid? I'd like to think I'm a mermaid! The tail was colored with Nuvo Glitter Markers and the Background is the ACLD Currents Stencil that has been sprayed with Multiple Colors of Shimmering Bliss: Dolphin Cove, Vivid Volt, and Mermaid.

The stencil was held down with Pixie Spray - creating gorgeous distinct lines.

Escape in a Sailboat

This card may look complicated but it really isn't.    But there were a few steps.

1. I stamped the Stormy Sea border twice,  and used blending brushes with several shades of ink to color in both borders.  It didn't matter if i neatly applied the ink or not because  I would be fussy cutting both borders.

2.  I used the cloud edger stencil  to create the sky with several shades of ink.   I brought the sky down as far as I thought I might need it because I was going to layer both Stormy Sea borders at the bottom.

3. I stamped the sentiment from Ocean Frame Stenitments as high as I could on the cloud panel.   I stamped it with Versa fine black ink and heat embossed it clean embossing powder.

4.  I positioned the fussy cut first Stormy Sea border  so that  the sentiment was not covered and adhered it to the panel.

5. Then I stamped the sail boat section of the Sailing Panel and colored the boat with Copic markers.  I fussy cut out the boat and positioned and adhered it to the first Stormy Sea border.   Then I adhered the second fussy cut Stormy Sea border over the boat and the first Stormy Sea border  so that the sail boat looked like it was really sailing through that story sea to get back to land.

6. Then I trimmed off any excess from the finished panel.  I knew there would be excess so I planned for this.  I layered it on navy card stock, and then on the yellow.    I am positive that sailor knows he has escaped the ordinary and will be glad when he returns to solid land!

There is an excellent deal if you "gotta have them all!"    You save $26.45!!!  Wow! What a savings!

I hope your day is absolutely marvelous, and that you have some time to get inky.

Vitamin Sea Beach Scene

Creating a beach scene was easy with blended distress oxide inks, the Stormy Sea Border stamp, and the Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I topped my beach scene with the Beach is my Therapist stamp to finish it off. I'll take Vitamin Sea any day of the week!

Zen Sea Turtle with Background Stencil

Hello, Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here to share two cards that feature stamps from the June 2021 Technique Junkies new release. There are so many wonderful ocean themed cards in this release. I paired the Zen Sea Turtle stamp with the Ocean Frame Sentiments, Set of 5: to create several cards:

I stamped the Zen Sea Turtle using Versafine Clair and Catherine Pooler Ink (Lime Rickey). I heat embossed the turtle with clear embossing powder and cut the turtle with my scan and cut machine. I colored the Circular Motion stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with Catherine Pooler Inks (Tranquil and Cove Blue). I stamped one of the sentiments from the Ocean Frame Sentiments Set of 5 on a piece of blue shimmer cardstock and then trimmed the sentiment with the Deckle Trimmer. I layered the stenciled background on a piece of turquoise glitter card stock. I used foam tape to pop both the turtle and the sentiment up off the card base. These layers I adhered to an A2 top folding landscape card base. For my second card I followed the same steps but used different ink colors for the turtle and the stencil, a different sentiment and green glitter card stock as a mat base.
