Ann's Antique Wallpaper
Here is a darling image for you from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. This little Sunflower girl just screamed for a tiny bit of sparkle so I used my Spica and Glitter Gel pens. The background is one of the techniques from the new Emboss or Die CD called Antique Wallpaper. It was also featured last summer in the June/July issue. There are sooooo many great techniques on that CD. The image is colored with copics. Enjoy!

Gothic Thanks!

{Jane Bosi} Happy Tuesday, Friends!! Today I am sharing a project I made to thank Stampotique for joining with TJNL in a fun technique hop last month. You may remember it--we used the Faux Barnwood technique from the February edition. Go here to refresh your memory. :) The technique on this card, Distressed Colorblocking, is also from that same edition! Have you tried it yet? What are you waiting for! Go get inky! TTFN, Jane

Paperclay Box: Burnished Backgrounds

Hi TJ Friends!! Kathie McGuire here with a Burnished Backgrounds project from August/September 2011 newsletter. I gave it a bit of a twist by using the background technique on ©Paperclay and instead of burnishing along the lines of a stamp, I pressed a Cuttlebug embossing folder into the clay and burnished along the lines the folder created. Whew! Sometimes my mind works overtime morphing techniques, huh? But that's what I LOVE about TJ! A great technique can be morped into many things with a little (or in my case--a lot) of imagination!
As a note, I rolled the Paperclay out onto a Teflon crafting sheet to the thickness of a nickel, pushed the folder into the Paperclay, and then baked it in my oven for 15 minuntes at 250 degrees. Then, I applied Ranger's Distress inks using the Burnished Background technique.
I glued the focal piece onto a box I made (the paper is from Michael's--I'm sports challenged so I don't know if that's football or basketball paper--and I don't want to know, either--lol)and added the stamped "gear" image.
Want a great tip for cutting a gear like this? Here it is: After I stamped and heat embossed the image from The Rubber Cafe, I cut the paper in a circle around the outer edge of the image. Then, I punched inbetween all of those little gears with a 1/16" hole punch. If I had a gear or two with some extra cardstock around it, I gave it a little trim. What a fast and easy way to get through an otherwise tedious cutting job!
I hope you've enjoyed my Paperclay-topped box. Have a wonderful stamping weekend!!

Nesties Spotlight by Judy Jackson

I love this vintage image of a young family by Artistic Outpost. The little girl is so sweet eating her apple. All of the family were colored in with Copic markers. Two different Nestabilities dies were used to spotlight the sweet little baby girl. A bit of lace and a bit of bling add the accents to embellish this card.
How thankful I am for the past generations in my own family and the heritage they gave me. I hope my own children will appreciate their own heritage as they grow older.
Have a wonderful day with your family.

White on White
Hey! Ann Clack here today!
I happened to use one of the techniques from the new Emboss or Die CD today. This one is called White on White. Although I do have a lot of color on my card. This is one of the designs I'm working up for cards for an International Rhododendron Society convention in May! I love the 'class' that the white on white gives this card. Hope you enjoy.
