Altered Box: Watercolor Roll

Hello Saturday! Kathie McGuire here with another little altered box.

On this project, I used a TJ technicue from the 6/06 newsletter, "Watercolor Roll". You'll see it on the orange leaf on the left side. It added just enough color to the leaf to give it some depth, but not enough to overpower it.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my altered box and thanks for stopping by today!!

Good morning. Beth Norman here with this week's TRY THAT TECHNIQUE challenge. This week's challenge is to use the Shadow Effect which can be found on our new Emboss or Die CD.

Please join us in congratulating Beth Ullman, whose White on White card is the winning card of the week. Beth, your card is now on our home page.

We look forward to seeing your stuff, and hope you will join in on our fun.

The Technique Junkie Design Team has been participating in sharing techniques on Gingersnap Creations. I used the Faux Tooled Leather technique from the Emboss or Die CD. I used some background paper that had a western theme, and the cowboy stamp is from Stampers Anonymous. I used my Copics to color this cowboy in the process of breaking this horse. I hope he comes out the winner!

I have been busy stamping and scrapping a lot these days. Now I need to clean it all and put stuff away because my daughter and family are comping for Mother's Day! There are little people and a lot of stamping tools are both tempting and dangerous for little folks.

Have a great weekend!

Hetty's folded pocket card

Hello fellow stampers!
Those pocket cards are so neat, I also had to make one.
I think they are great to use when you want to
give money for a birthday.
I made this one for my SIL, who just
did a course in sushi making
(and yummy he is good at it!!).
He also has a special birthday,
so that is the reason I made a
special card for him.

For this card I used a new digital stamp by
Bonibleaux Digital Designs
an  found a wonderful free font
called Chinese Takeaway.

The digital stamp is colored with copic markers
and the scrap paper is from Stampin'Up!
and some digital paper that was printed
on my printer for this card.
More info on my Craftchaos Blog.

And if you want to make one of these
Folded Pocket cards, you find the
tutorial on the Fancy Fold and Motion CD.
(pss....... we are busy working on a new CD,
so keep your eyes open!)

Have a creative day!

Kissed Folder

Hello everyone...Donna here.  To commemorate Earth Day today, I'm sharing this natural, earthy, and green card that I made using the Kissed Folder technique from the Emboss or Die CD. This is such a great technique to add just a bit of texture to solid stamps, like I did here with my trees.  The tree stamps I used are from Memory Box and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Have a wonderful day and remember -- be nice to your Mother...Earth.

Try That Technique: Folded Pocket Card

Beth Norman
here, with this week's Try That Technique. This week Diana Enn's and I challenged each other to create using the Folded Pocket Card.

I thought I would get a head start on my Christmas cards this year, and thought this would be the perfect fold to use.

Speaking of fold, this Folded Pocket Card is from our new Fancy Folds and Motion CD.

Each week we ask you to join us in making the technique of the week. And, each week we have a winner whose card and name will be placed on the Technique Junkie Newsletter home page for the week.

This week's winner used the Dry Embossed Wash last week. Congratulations LaVerne Wilson you are this week's winner, and your card is now on our home page.

Try That Technique will take a summer vacation and the last week of Try That Technique will be May 26th.

Good luck to all participants!
