Cherish Friendship - Pastel Painted Embossing
I love to use the Pastel Painted Embossing Technique on embossed cards. This easy technique from the Emboss or Die CD adds pretty depth to the background of a simple card. On this card, I colored the goose with pastels and a blender before layering him over my background. All stamps by Stampin' Up!.

Try That Bleach Swipes
{jane bosi} Happy Thursday!! I'm bringing you the Try That Technique Challenge this week with a sweet little image from I Brake For Stamps (search "Freddie" in the IBFS store to find him.)
Nancy and I have selected the Bleach Swipes technique from the Dec/Jan 2010 edition of the TJNL for this week's challenge. It's a great technique--a wonderful way to create interesting backgrounds for just about any project.
We love it when you play along! When you do, please put "Try That and the tech name" in the subject line of your email. This will really help us to keep track of all of the amazing entries each week. Speaking of amazing,
please join me in congratulating our winner from last week, Tricia O'Bin. Tricia's card, using the Faux Marbling technique, will be featured on the home page for the next week.....I wonder who will be next?
It could be you!

Copic Texturizing
Hi, Junkies, Donna here! I realized at the last second that I couldn't post the card I planned to share with you today because I made it for a swap, and the recipients haven't seen it yet. I know some of them read this blog so we'll just have to wait on that one.
So instead, I'll share this card I made awhile ago using the Copic Texturizing technique featured in the April/May 2011 newsletter. I used an old washcloth to create a fur texture that's perfect for my bear and for lots of other animals, too.
The stamps used here are from Starving Artistamps, and the papers are from Basic Grey.
Have a great and creative weekend!
