Try That Technique - Velveteen Stamping

It's that time of the week again...this weeks Try That Technique is Velveteen Stamping. 

 

It's hard to see the swirls on the snowflakes but you can see them much better IRL.

 

I used Stampin Up! white craft ink and blue chalk ink. 

I didn't have a great background stamp with large areas so

I used my stamps and created my own. 

The snowflake was cut and inked from a Spellbinders die.

Sentiment is from Stampin Up!

Snowman Highlights

Hi, Bloggers!  Ann Clack here with a little Cuttlebug Highlights on this cute snowman.  I have a lady in our stamping group that used this snowman as an ornament.  She was published in Stampers Sampler.  Lucky Girl!  I made this one into a card by folding my paper and cutting it with the die.  I held the fold a little lower than the top of the snowman's head. 

The snowman was cut out of a tag board weight paper that was plain grey on one side and white on the other.    The Cuttlebug Highlights were sanded instead of inked.  I used punches for the snowflakes on his hat and body.  Elizabeth Craft glitter dots on the little snowflakes and glitter on the hearts.

You have seen some other wonderful examples from the other Design Team members and from members of the TJ Yahoo group. So give it a try. Post your results so that we can all be inspired by what you create.

I had to improvise on the punch so as you see anything is possible with a bit of ingenuity. The sentiment is an oldie but a goodie from Club Scrap.

Chain Link

Hello, Beth Norman, here.  How is your week going so far?  Enjoying the cooler temperatures?  I'm already wearing my winter coat.

To brighten things up for you, I created a Chain Link card using stamps from Mark's Finest Papers.  I love sunflowers, hence the name of my blog Sunflowers and Dragonflies.  My image was coloured with Copic markers.

To create my band that separates the sentiment from the chain link, I used Washi tape.  Gotta love the stuff!

Tricia here with this weeks Try That Technique - Chain Link. This was a fun technique to do.  Here is another Christmas Card for my stash.

I used my cricut (and gypsy to cut out some snowflakes as I don't have any spellbinders or punches.  The stamp is from Stampin Up!

Tricia here with this weeks Try That Technique - Bleeding Tissue.  I finally got my order from Amazon after scouring the craft stores looking for it and I LOVE IT!

If you couldn't tell from my recent posts, I am getting ready for Christmas by doing my Christmas Cards.  I have about 1/6 done so you can bet you will be seeing more from me.

As with many of the technique junkie techniques this one was quick and easy.

Hi Technique Junks!

Hetty here, with one of the techniques rom the

Oct/Nov 2013 newsletter. Have you tried them?

Today I need a quick one, for I am just back

from the Club Scrap retreat in Kiberley Wisconsin

(whisch ofcourse was fantastic, meeting friends

and getting so much new inspiration).

I chose the online bonus technique:

Washi Weave.

There are so many diffrent rolls of

washi paper around and a lot of people

are trying to find some fun use

for it. How about using it

for decorating the background paper?

Halloween inspiration with Tim Holtz 

Mini Halloween 3 stamps that I just

bought in the US in my short shopping time

in between workshops.

It was fun to create cards again, but now i have to

go back to do some mor unpacking and gettin

my craft room organized with all

the new goodies!
