Hearts Like Dogs

Good morning, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today.  Did you see this adorable puppy in this month's release?  I love puppies so I just HAD to have this stamp, which is called Hearts Like Dogs.  I stamped it with a gray ink, and then I stamped it again onto a sticky note.  After I cut out the dog on the sticky note, I used it as a mask by sticking it down over my original stamped image.  Then I placed the Circle Mosaic stencil over the masked image and very lightly brushed some gray ink around the sides and the top of the dog.  When I was satisfied with the stenciling, I removed the stencil and the mask and adhered the stamped/stenciled piece to a gray card base.

Did you see the new ink blending brushes in the Technique Junkies store?  They are super soft and they work beautifully to apply ink over stencils.  You can see how my stenciled mosaic fades out on my card.  Those brushes are magical!!

TJ Inkspirations: Nevermore Scary Good Inspiration

Halloween. Most people love it or hate it -- not too many people are ambivalent about it. No matter which camp you are in, I recommend watching today's video - it shows lots of techniques for layering stamps, sprays and stencils for an awesome effect.

I also prepared a Nevermore Stamp and Spray bundle today with a whopping 11 items in it, so if you do want to take a stab at this card, you can get it all at once. The picture for the bundle is below, but you can check it out HERE, too.

Ready, Halloween crafters?

Coffee ... Priceless

My card today is inspired by both the sketch and picture at the current Fusion Card Challenge - Coffee.

I inked-up two of my Technique Junkies Coffee stamps - Cups 'n Mugs and Coffee Barcode (2 must-have stamps if you're a coffee stamp collector like me) - in coffee-colored Versafine Clair Acorn Ink ... remember, you can get 10% off those stamps and anything else you purchase from the Technique Junkies store using my discount code TJ10Stephanie.

I cut the background stamp in half and added the border (inspired by the color of the notebook in the photo) between the pieces and the Coffee Barcode Sentiment mounted on foam tape.

I finished by adding some gold metal circle embellishments to the centers of the flowers on several of the Coffee Cups.
