TJ Inkspirations: Shimmering Silhouette Card

Today's video is all about an easy Slimline cards.  The typical slimline card is sized to fit into a business envelope. Our card today is 3 1/2" x 8 1/2".

We are only using two stamp and two stencils. The results are pretty and can be adjusted with other sentiments -- but who doesn't want a card telling them they are special?

There is a kit this week - just designed to save you money in case you would like to try this yourself. The kit is $19.99 and may be found HERE.

Here are the cards:

Joseph's Coat

Do you like going to the movies?  I do, but would you believe that I actually fall asleep before the middle of the movie is even reached?  I blame it on the darkness.  Al knows me all too well and will keep elbowing me to keep me awake.  LOL.  Tell me your story about going to the movies.

Had a little fun doing Joseph's Coat using Cinema Pattern and Go to the Movies, set of 7.  Wouldn't it be fun to enclose a movie theatre gift card for your bestie?  This would make an ideal birthday card, or for any other occasion.

Would you like to have 10% off this stamp or any other product in you shopping cart?  Just use TJ10Beth as your code.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy stamping!

Tamashii In My Prayers

Hello friends.  Lynda Joy here, with another card for the February release celebration.

For my card today, I used:
and

How I made it:
  • On a white matte coated card stock, I used an acrylic to roll on inks.  I love the way the acrylic brayers applies the inks in a sort of moddled look.  I used distress inks in various colors, blending them together with the brayer.
  • I stamped the Tamashii Modern Frame image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink in my Misti.
  • I stamped and black embossed the In My Prayers verse.
  • I outlined the panel with a black marker, then layered it onto a lavender panel, then onto a black A2 card front.
  • INSIDE:  I lined the inside with a lavender panel.
I hope you like my easy card.  It could very well have been a one layer card, but I usually like a layer between the panel and the card front.

Don't forget to use my code, TJ10Lynda, for an extra 10% off when you shop at the TJ store!  Enjoy your day, and try to find some time to do what you love today!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings,

TJ Inkspirations: Shadow Stencil Ink Blending

A Colorful Life Designs Stencils recently came out with fun shadow stencils and we are now carrying them in the Technique Junkies store. Today's tutorial shows you one way to use these stencils with stamps and ink blending.

The vide shows you how to use two stencils with the same technique, and there is a kit for each of the stencils. The kits save you a nice bit of money off the regular price, so if you like the cards, it is a way to save!

Before we get to the video, here is the artwork and the kits that coordinate with them.

Here is the first card, using the 6-Square Shadow Stencil:

Wine a Little

  Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share two fun cards that I created, with some new release products!

Both cards today use 'SD1057 Wine a Little'. What fun is this?  I'm sure we all know someone we could send one of these to!

This first card has 'SD1007 Artistic Swipe' in the background. I LOVE this stamp, and will be using it often!  I used my Ink Blending Brushes and A Colorful Life 'Faded Petals' stencil, and voila! Very quick, fun card for someone special!

And here is the second card. I used another new release 'S896 Poppy Arrangement' to 'frame' the sentiment. Isn't it pretty?  Coloring was done with Copic Markers, and a bit of white gel pen. Used some glossy accents on the wine glass and flowers to add some shine. I used Ink Blending Brushes to fill in the white space, and love the way it turned out!

We have TWO February 'Gotta Have it All' Bundles!  The first bundle is shown below. Here's what you'll get:

And here is the 'Gotta Have it All' Bundle Two:
