Wildflower Border

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share two cards that I created, with some April release stamps.

The 'SD1098 Wildflower Border' stamp, and the A Colorful Life Designs 'Damask' stencil were featured on both of these cards. Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing how different each one looks, just by changing up colors and techniques a bit.

For the first card, the image was stamped and colored in Copic markers. I made a mask of the image, masked it, and did the stenciling in yellow and green Distress Oxide Inks, using an ink blending brush. The sentiment from 'SS134 In the Garden' was then stamped with black ink.

The next card was super simple.  I masked and ink blended a portion in the center of my focal panel, prior to stenciling again with the 'Damask' stencil in pink and orchid Distress Oxide Inks. The image, 'SD1098 Wildflower Border' and sentiment 'SS134 In the Garden' were then stamped with black ink.

It's Your Birthday!

 

The background Baseballs! was stamped with a light brown ink.   Then I stamped Baseball in Motion with  back pigment ink on top.   I covered it with clear detail embossing powder and heat set.  The greeting is from Swing the Fences.  I stamped it with black pigment ink, covered with clear embossing powder, and heat set.

Sometimes you just need a quiet moment to yourself, and this card is a reminder to enjoy those moments in the garden this spring.  This beautiful sentiment is from the new In The Garden set from Technique Junkies.  I stamped the beautiful Spring Flowers with a pink ink onto some white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment with black ink right onto the pink flowers.

Blended Layered Rainbow Cards & Kits

As soon as I saw the Layered Rainbow Bridge Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs I knew they were a match made in heaven with the Technique Junkies Loss of a Beloved Pet stamp. Once I started working with them I realized that I had other stamps that were perfect for these rainbows too. That is how these kits evolved - I planned on one and ended up with 3! These stencils were designed right - the ability to apply the ink in sections without pushing the ink into other sections is brilliant! Notice how the layers are all separate? That is good design.
