My Big Giraffe Love Family Snark!

I love my friends, family, dogs, giraffes and snarky stamps! Today's card celebrates several of those things: giraffes, family and snark! The Giraffe love stamp was great for the outside AND inside of the card. The sentiments used here are two of the sentiments from the 10-piece Inside Out: No Good Advice Set.

Congratulations Baby Cards with Giraffe Love

Hello all and Happy Saturday!  We all need a new baby card at times.  Today I am sharing two cards I made - one for a baby boy and the other for a baby girl - using Giraffe Love and one of the sentiments from Floral Framed Sentiments.

  • First, I stamped Giraffe Love on two pieces of white cardstock.   Then I die-cut them using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, and colored them using some yellow, orange, and brown tones of markers.
  • I made 2 top-folding A2 cards - one baby pink and one baby blue.  Then I adhered a piece of fun foam behind each of the colored Giraffe Love pieces and glued one to each card front.   I used the 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die to cut another 2 pieces of white cardstock and I adhered one inside each card where a message will be written.

  • I stamped Congratulations twice from Floral Framed Sentiments, layered them on a piece of blue and pink cardstock, added a button and crystals, and adhered them to the card fronts.
Here are the two cards - one for a boy and one for a girl.

I hope you have enjoyed these card ideas for a new baby.  Make one of these and they will be kept for years and years.  Remember, if you go shopping on the Technique Junkies website (www.techniquejunkies.com), you can save 10% at checkout by using my discount code - TJ10Michael.

These two new stamps from Technique Junkies Wild Poppies and Enjoy were made for each other!  I stamped the flowers, colored with watercolor and added some white acrylic splatter.  Mounted on a simple easel card base with the sentiment visible when the front is tucked behind the ribbon as a stop.  Use my code TJ10FAITH for a 10% discount on these and all the other great new releases at TechniqueJunkies.com.

Simplicity

Sometimes just keeping things simple is a good thing

Today, using the new 'meadow sprigs' stamp

embossed in white onto kraft cardstock

a wee bit of sponging around the edges

Then for something completely different - the saying is wider than the card !!!  We all seem to stay within a certain box...lets go beyond !!!

The 'happy birthday' is from an inside out set..

couple of butterflies and we are done.

Let the A$$ kicking begin!

Sometimes it is hard to know what messages to send to those who are suffering from cancer. The sentiment on this card is from the new Cancer Sucks set, meant to give you words when your own fail. I used the Silhouette stamps stamp with 3 colors of Catherine Pooler ink applied in an ombre look direct to stamp for the background.

Cancer Sucks.

Without a doubt, cancer sucks. Ten years ago my 18 (at the time) year old son was diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma. It was, by far, the worst year of our lives. A senior in high school should not be faced with their mortality at such a young age. We know that we are incredibly lucky that he is in remission - and this year is his 10th year.

I made the Technique Junkies stamp set in his honor - specifically this Picc Line Scar stamp. I used the ribbon from the Walk Through Fire stamp. Lime green is the color for Lymphoma. For every one of you who has traveled this journey, God Bless You.
