Happy Winter Wishes

                     Happy Winter Wishes

Can you believe it’s time to start on holiday and winter cards?  I’m one of those people that get started late. I’m working on fixing that!

This card was made using the Happy Winter Wishes set of 3 and the Zen trees background stamp

I took a look at the color wheel and decided on the split complimentary colors:
1) Blue-green (peacock)
2) Yellow-Green (Lime)
3) Red

The one thing I did different than a regular layered card is before I glued down the background piece with the zen trees - I cut up from the bottom on the left side.  I simply followed the side of the tree and cut to where I needed.  I thought tucking the layered front piece behind one of the zen trees gave this a little something extra.  I hope you’ll give it a try.

Sweet Halloween Wishes

Happy (almost) Halloween Junkies!

One of my favorite things about Halloween it giver us freedom to use colors that we might normally shy away from like florescent orange, green, or yellow.   In truth, we probably don't have a lot of use for those in our everyday crafting.   I'm not going to lie... I was a little exciting to sit down and have a play with this neglected colors.   To enhance the brightness of the end result.  I went over the white background with a light grey to dull it a bit.  I think it helped make the brights look brighter.

Ornaments Aglow

Hello. Jeanette here. I'm so excited to be here, sharing another Christmas card made using a background stamp from the most recent release at Technique Junkies.

The stamp is called Doodle Ornaments - check it out HERE. This truly is one of my favorite stamps in this release.

I used two panels of the image, one in its entirety which I blended yellow ink into the center. The other one I colored three of the ornaments and then fussy cut them. I used foam dots to raise the colored ornaments up off of the other panel.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Hedgehog

Hedgehog and Beauty are not two words that are usually paired, but who couldn't love this spiny fellow?!  I stamped him in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake cardstock and added some white gel pen accents, especially to his quills.  I masked him and added Worn Leaves as a background and superimposed the sentiment from the Contemporary Inspiration set.  Good advice, and GREAT stamps to own!  Get them all at TechniqueJunkies.com and use my code TJ10FAITH for 10% off your order!

A Joyful and Zen Christmas

Happy day! Pam here sharing a monochromatic creation. I love how elegant they look and I need to do more of them! I sued the Zen Tree Background paired with the new First Love and Joy.

One of my very favorite embellishments is organza ribbon that I quickly heat up with heat gun. The sentiment was cut out with a scalloped die cut and mounted on dimensionals.

Find it all here. Please feel free to use my code TJ10Pam.

Newborn King

Isn't this such a simple, classic Christmas card? Just a couple of colors of Copic markers, along with blue ink faded into the white center to highlight the focal nativity scene. The Newborn King rubber stamp set of two is here:
