Spinner!

{Jane Bosi} Sharing a project from the Fancy Folds and Motion CD--now available for preorder!
This is the Kinetic Spinner card and is soooo much fun to make!!! You could even add a photo instead of a stamped image! I, however, have used the Teen Chat stamp set from FireCracker Designs by Pamela. I love this set!! (Remember, FCD won't be around much longer so, get it while you can!) I've used it a few times recently--the images look just my daughter and her friends :)
I hope you're having a grand inky day!

Clipped Corners by Judy Jackson

Hi! Judy Jackson here.

I love this Steampunk set by Artistic Outpost. I used the train station and a few other stamps from this set to create this card.  I watercolored the images of the man and station. Then I used the Clipped Corners Technique from the October 2010 issue of the TJ Newsletter before I placed it on my panel.

The other image and the stamped words were just sponged with color. The crocheted lace trim seemed to just match vintage image the vintage look of the train station. I modified the Technique by Design sketch for this month to allow for the larger stamped image for this design sketch. The script stamp in the corner is from Stampin' Up. The background paper at the bottom is from 7 Gypsies.
Enjoy your week. Take some time to be creative!

Cricut and Stamp, June/July 2010

Hi!  Donna here with what is actually the "Cuttlebug and Stamp" technique in my case.  This technique was the online bonus for the June/July 2010 issue. Handmade flowers are all the rage right now, and I've been fooling around with different ways to make them. I thought these flowers came out pretty cute--they remind me of hollyhocks. When I have a few minutes to spare, I plan to make of a bunch of them from some of my scraps so that they are ready to go when I need them.

Oh, and don't forget...Pat's got a wicked cool and easy way to renew your newsletter subscription now. She's also posted a list of the techniques on the new Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts CD, and you can get all of the details on her post here.

Happy Friday!

Smooched Metal Meets Worn Wallpaper by Judy Jackson

As a rubber stamper I have learned to appreciate the various qualities of many inks. Not all inks are created equal. Distress Inks are a unique kind of dye based inks and they are really fun to work with. I have a friend who came over and we spent the morning playing with Distress Inks and using several of the TJ techniques that use Distress Inks. She is a subscriber to the TJ newsletter but hadn't used her Distress Inks until recently.
So this is a card I worked on toward the end of the morning. I didn't get it finished until tonight. The metal tag near the top is where I used the Smooched Metal technique. I used the Brick Texture Fades embossing folder and that is where I used the Worn Wallpaper technique. I added some filmstrip acetate strip, a vintage photo, a ticket piece, Tissue Tape, various ribbons, and a chip board button from my stash to add different elements to the card. This card is larger than most cards I have created. It will likely be a "one-of-a-kind" card. It was certainly fun to make!
I used stamps from Stamper Anonymous and Inkadinkadoo.
I hope you get inky and creative!
