Try That Technique: Hidden Image

Hi there, it's Beth with Try That Technique. Can you believe it's Thursday already? November is here, and preparations are being made for the holidays. Putting aside Christmas projects, I created this Hidden Image technique. I think the results are so pretty. To find this technique, pull out your 2010 CD as it is just one of the bonus techniques. If you don't have your CD, don't forget to order it.

Mono Mosaic for Christmas

Hello Stamping Friends,

Here is Hetty again. Today I want to share my "Mono Mosaic"card with you. I cannot remember if I tried this technique when it came out Dec '05/Jan '06, but it sure is a nice technique. I am happy we do this revival in techniques. There are so many great ones we just forget. Time flies when you are having stamping-fun!

My card is made with stamps by Michael Strong. I used his frame stamp, the Christmas tree and the word stamps. The frame stamp I used for the background squares, stamped and embossed in red.

The tree I stamped on red paper and embossed with clear embossing powder. Thank I took out my metallic rub-ons and used some green and gold. I rubbed it on with my fingers and when finshed i took a soft cloth and the lines of the tree popped up again. I added some pearl gemstones.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold.

I layered the paper with some foam tape to give it a little more dimention. Also I did not glue it sentered, this was to make some room for the ribbon and the sentiment. The pointisetta flower is done with a punch. I hope this gives you some inspiration to try this technique too.

Fancy Folds.....POP!!

{Jane Bosi} I sure hope you are not getting sick of seeing projects from the Fancy Folds and Motion CD!!! These Pop Out cards are super fun and simple, if you have the right directions! {wink and giggle!}

This card features stamps from I Brake For Stamps (sentiment from Stampin Up!). My papers are just scraps from a long ago project, but I think they work well with the vintagey feel of the stamps and card!

Another By the Inch Card by Judy Jackson

Hi! Judy Jackson here.
These inchie squares are so fun to create cards using the By the Inch Technique from the October 2010 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter!

Stamps used for this card are all from Stampin' Up! I used the Pulled Glimmers Technique (June 2010 issue of the TJNL) to create the background colors behind the stamped images.

Ribbon that had a variety colors is used for an embellishment behind the By the Inch nine square focal image.

Winter is coming but these images remind me that Spring comes right after!  I much prefer warmer weather over cold weather.

Wisped Frames

Hello Friends! It's Kathie McGuire here! Did you miss me yesterday? I didn't forget about you, honest. I was just immersed in rubber at the annual Fall Fiesta Rubber Stamp Show in Mesa, AZ. It was a great convention and I enjoyed demo'ing and seeing all of my local stamping and papercrafting friends there.

So now I'm back down to earth and sharing my usual Saturday technique, just a day later. This card features the oh-so-easy "Wisped Frames" technique from the 2/10 newsletter. See how it makes my happy little cupcake even happier?? It's such a nice subtle addition to any image.

The Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts CD! - Marvelous Marquee Card - by Judy Jackson

This is such a fun card to open! It looks like it will be a Gate fold card, but as you open the card and pull back the side panels the "curtains" open to see an image behind the curtains!

Lots of sponging on this card. Stamp credits Stampin' Up, Impression Obsession, and the verse in unknown and unmounted. sorry!
