Technique of the Week

Good Morning Ladies, Nancy Dawson here with the Technique of the Week sample - Designer Paper Starburst featured in the Technique Junkies Newsletter.

My 'Get Whale' card was made using Stampin Up's Designer Paper Sunshine and Sprinkles accented with a cute little whale from the Oh, Whale Stamp Set. He also comes with a custom die cut. Don't you just love him?

It's quite a fun technique, you gotta try it! Oh BTW I made a POSTER size display using this technique and it really accented the pictures so nicely!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Technique of the Week Designer Paper Starburst Technique

Hi Everyone, It's Jackie K here with 2 examples of the Designer Paper Starburst technique.
This technique is from the April/May 2013 Issue
and is the Technique of the Week!

The designer paper for this card is from Momenta. I love the color combo on these papers. This is one of those techniques where you don't want to cover up your background creation (in my mind anyway.) To that end, I used a simple Happy Birthday stamp from Stampabilities.

This card uses designer paper from DCWV. I love black and white and always think it's striking whenever I see a card done in black and white. Once again I used a simple stamp from Inkadinkado and a die cut scroll from Sizzix.

These cards come together fast and easy and make a lovely card for any occasion.
Give it a try won't you? Please post your creations to the yahoo group: techniquejunkies@yahoogroups.com

Technique of the Week: Designer Paper Starburst

I am happy to announce this week's Technique of the Week: Designer Paper Starburst, from the April/May 2013 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter. This amazing little technique is really easy, and makes a great background that is just, well, happy! I hope you will play along with us this week. If you are on the egroup, post your artwork so we can all see it and admire your handiwork.

The stamps used here are from Local King Rubber Stamps, and the paper is from Stampin' Up!, from my stash. I used the Rock and Roll technique to color the bird.

Have a great week - I can't wait to see what you do!

Try that technique - Copic Color Double Embossing

Here is another card I did using this weeks try that technique.

I love this Saturated Canary stamp from 7KidsCollegeFund.com.  I colored her with copics and cut her out using the "out of the box" technique.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see what you create ... won't you join in on the fun?

Happy Birthday - Try That Technique

Hi,

Tricia here with another Try That Technique - Copic Colored Double Embossing.  I love ALL techniques where I can use my copics, because you know how I love them.

This sweet little digi stamp from Saturated Canary is colored with, yes, you guessed it, copics.  I used a little Glassy Accents on her balloon to give it some dimension.  I cut her out with my spellbinders and used the tried and true "Out of the Nestie Box" technique.  The "happy birthday" sentiment and cupcake are from Gina K Designs.  I just love her.

I cut out some black Sizzix flourish dies.  The flowers were airbrushed with copics and I added some white liquid pearls.

I would love to see what you come up with, be sure to post for the group.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Hello TJ Friends~ Kathie McGuire here today to share an Embossed Stickles card from the Shimmer, Glimmer, Sparkle, and Shine CD. I love all things glitzy, so I was excited to try this for the first time. Wow, what a great way to increase the usage of embossing folders! It was fast and easy and the results are well worth the small amount of time it takes to do this technique. I hope you've enjoyed your visit to the TJ Blog today, and I sure hope will you try the Embossed Stickles technique. ~Kathie
