Watered Crayons Technique

Hi everyone, Tricia here with a card that I made using the current newsletters "Watered Crayon" technique.

I just love how quick and easy it was to create a background for this cute image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her with copics and then using the Out of the Nestie Box technique attached her to the front of the card. 

The papers are from Gina K Designs.  I used watercolor paper from Paper Temptress.  The watercolor crayons and the background stamp are from Stampin Up!

Distress Stain Watercolouring Technique of the Week

Technique of the Week!

{Jane Bosi}  Happy Monday!!  It's a brand new week and that means it's time for a new Technique of the Week!  This week, we are featuring the Distress Stain Watercoloring technique from the April/May 2013 issue.  This technique produces beautifully colored images.  If you haven't already given it a try.....the time is now!!!  Don't forget to share your creations with us on the Yahoo group! Holly Brown: Designer Paper Starburst Birthday Bear

Happy Friday, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I've created a fun birthday card with the Technique of the Week - Designer Paper Starburst.  This technique is a great way to use up some old patterned papers as well as some smaller scraps that you can't seem to use for anything else.  I've colored this adorable birthday bear from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps with Copic markers and added a row of buttons to separate the starburst background from the birthday sentiment.  By using these blue and green colors, I can give this card to a little boy for his birthday.  I can also recreate this card using pinks and purples for a little girl or black and white colors for someone celebrating a milestone birthday.  :-)

Designer Paper Starburst Technique of the Week by Judy Jackson

This week's Technique of the Week is the Designer Paper Starburst.  This is a technique that is varied as the designer paper you use.   Our daughter is expecting a baby girl-- due May 24.   And she doesn't like the color pink.  What is a Gramma to do?  A baby girl card without being PINK?  So I used pink, and a light sage green.  I thought the Starburst technique would hide or diminish  the pink. 

 

I think I came up with a card that is soft and feminine, and yet emphasized the "new baby" theme without shouting "PINK" -- at least I hope so.  I think she will agree. Gramma and Poppa can hardly wait to greet this new addition to our family!
