Dancing Away!

I used two Technique Junkies stamps for this card.  The background is Dotted Blooms which I inked with white pigment ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  Then I spritzed several colors of Shimmering Bliss in different areas.  Please remember to not shake these up and down but roll them back and forth in the palms of your hands.  This prevents the mica from clogging the nozzle.  

The focal image is  How Far You've Come.  I did the same technique as described above with detail white embossing powder and various colors of Shimmering Bliss.  

Why do I say "detail" white embossing powder?  That is because detail embossing powder is a "finer" powder is when it melts under the heat of the heat gun it melts with more detail.  That is especially important with words so the letters do not melt into each other.    White embossing powder can be hard to find in detail, so if you find it, buy it!

We are only using two stamp and two stencils. Do you like going to the movies?  I do, but would you believe that I actually fall asleep before the middle of the movie is even reached?  I blame it on the darkness.  Al knows me all too well and will keep elbowing me to keep me awake.  LOL.  Tell me your story about going to the movies.

Movies and Glitter Markers

Tamashii In My Prayers

Hello friends.  Lynda Joy here, with another card for the February release celebration.  

For my card today, I used:

Tamashii Modern Frame

and

In My Prayers

 

How I made it:

• On a white matte coated card stock, I used an acrylic to roll on inks.  I love the way the acrylic brayers applies the inks in a sort of moddled look.  I used distress inks in various colors, blending them together with the brayer.
• I stamped the Tamashii Modern Frame image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink in my Misti.
• I stamped and black embossed the In My Prayers verse.
• I outlined the panel with a black marker, then layered it onto a lavender panel, then onto a black A2 card front.
• INSIDE:  I lined the inside with a lavender panel.

I hope you like my easy card.  It could very well have been a one layer card, but I usually like a layer between the panel and the card front.
