Starry Land of the Free

Today is the extended tax day, so my "Land of the Free" card is somewhat ironic today! Seriously, the Technique Junkies Hanging Stars Stamp and the Home of the Brave stamp are perfect together to celebrate your patriotism.

Split Stencil Friendship

I adore the Split Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs - they are beautiful and elegant, and work with just a few colors. I combined the Split Swirls Stencil with one of the sentiments from the Technique Junkies Floral Framed Square sentiments. I colored the background with Harvest Gold Shimmering Bliss and Inked the stencil over it with Distress Oxide Inks.

Keep count of those Birthdays - or not...

Can you take a Mulligan on your birthday number? Wouldn't that be awesome? The TJ Birthdays are Like Golf stamp is great for any golfer in your life.

My golfer was colored with Copic Markers and the background uses the ink-blended Striped Waves Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, available HERE from Technique Junkies.

I say take the Mulligan! (Forever 45 for me! - LOTS of Mulligans lol)

Math Equations

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have two fun cards to share, using the 'S891 Math Equations' background stamp. What fun to work with this background - just look at all of the details!

For this first card, the background was stamped with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, and heat embossed in white. I 'framed' the panel with woodgrain to look like a chalkboard. Then, I stamped and colored the pooch and sentiment, fussy cut them, and adhered them over the background. The dog and sentiment are from #SD764 'Can't Afford the Cat'. Thought it was a perfect pairing!

The second card was easy-peasy!  I used the #S891 Math Equations, and #SD924 'Internet Browser'. Both were simply stamped onto white cardstock, and matted with black.

I'm loving this May release! Hope you are too!!!

So glad you stopped by today!

Amsterdam Reflections

Amsterdam is one of the most interesting and wonderful cities in the world. Surrounded by canals that snake in and out of the city, it is gorgeously picturesque - the reflections in the water can be wonderful. The TJ Amsterdam Reflections stamp celebrates that beauty.

Flowers for your front porch

Don't you just want these Milk Jug Flowers to grace your front porch to greet your visitors? I think they just evoke sunshine and summer. I paired the Technique Junkies Milk Jug Flowers stamp with a Distress Oxide ink-blended Circus Harlequin Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs Stencils.

Overrated

The saying Adulting is Overrated is something many of us could say.  My daughter will sometimes say, "I'm done adulting for today."  I had never heard the term "adulting" until recent years, but as soon as I heard it I understood the meaning.  With the background of Flatware, the  Happy Housewife certainly looks like she is done adulting for the day.

I heat embossed the Flatware background with white embossing powder.  Then I burnished various shades of ink over the embossed Flatware.  The Happy Housewife was colored with Copic Markers.  I heat embossed Adulting is Overrated and then sponged the same colors of ink from the background around the edges.  Two rhinestone earrings finish the Happy Housewife.

If you want the "Gotta Have It all Bundle" now is a good time to get it.

Anything that is not on sale can be 10% off by using the code TJ10Judy - no spaces. And if you want the "Gotta Have It all Bundle" now is a good time to get it.

Have a marvelous May day and get inky!!
