She Believed She Could!!!

 

Have you ever been this tired?  I have, and it usually involved something I was required or requested to do by either my family or my boss.  I was a mother of 3 kids, a wife, and an elementary school teacher.  Now I am retired and live in a senior retirement community.  However,  I still get very tired but even now I "keep on keeping on."  I just don't have as many of those moments of being that tired.  

Stamps used for this card are Random ABCs, The Happy Housewife, and She Believed She Could.  I think she suddenly remembered she had to bake cookies for one of her children's classroom party. Its the end of the day, and now she has t bake cookies.

Batman Confidence

 

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  How about a Bat Signal to wake you up today?  LOL  I used the new Batman T-shirt stamp from Technique Junkies to create these two cards today.  Isn't that a great sentiment?

I went with the classic Bat Signal look for my first card up above.  I stamped the sentiment onto some yellow cardstock, cut it out with an oval die, and adhered it to a black card base.  

For my second card below, I glued down some blue, red, and yellow strips of cardstock to my black card base.  Then I stamped the Batman T-shirt sentiment onto white cardstock and trimmed it into a rectangular shape.  This is a great option if you don't have oval dies.

Follow Your Heart

 For today's card I created a background on watercolor paper using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, and Candy Apple along with a little Salvaged Patina and Some Lavinia ink in Mulberry for a vignette feature.  I laid each color down randomly in lines from light to dark then doused with water to blend the colors in.  I repeated this again to gain more intensity of color.  I then stamped the new In The Meadow #S960 with Versafine Clair in black.

I next created the vignette and added a bit more color using a light hand with the Distress Oxides in Spiced Marmalade. 

I stamped the Outside sentiment from the Inside Out: Size matters #SS139 Follow Your Heart and set the panel aside.

I grabbed a piece of Accent Opaque 80lb cardstock in white and stamped the inside sentiment ( Take Your Brain With You) also in the Versafine Clair in black and trimmed that down to 5 x 3 3/4 and attached it to the inside of a Kraft card base.  I glued the outside panel to the outside of the card base and our card was done!

I created my card using Catherine Pooler inks as watercolors. I die cut the panel with a loopy edge rectangle die. I also cut the background mat layer (using pattern paper) with the same die. I stamped the Hope, Wish, Dream and Wonder sentiments using Drive In Ink (Purple) by Catherine Pooler. Technique Junkies now carries Catherine Pooler Inks.

It’s an Inside Out day…Size Matters

Hey there! Today I am showcasing the new Inside Out, Size Matters. I just love this sentiment kit. The inside reads, “Nobody wants a small glass of wine.” I think it is so funny with this Primitive Fish stencil from ACLD. I used pink, sage and blue inks sponged onto the stencil. I sponged blue on the sentiment and then placed it on dimensionals. Easy, peasy and quick! Fun creation for a guy or gal.
