TJ Inkspirations: Zen Trees x 2

 

Outstanding Color Intensity! I have new sprays to share with you today, and a new tutorial on using them! I have added Aladine IZINK Sprays - in both Shiny and Dye (non-shiny). These gorgeous inks were made with Seth Apter - and the nozzles are "non-clog." Winner winner! I created one background and used it to make two cards using the Zen Trees and Stylized Peace Dove stamps. It was super easy, and these are just stunning in person! The tutorial is below. Peace on Earth

 This beautiful Hanukkah Background stamp worked well for this layered card layout in classic blue and silver.  I forget what this technique is called, but you cut out three rectangular panels in three sizes, the largest being 4 x 5.25.  Using Washi tape, stack the panels, then stamp the background stamp over the stack.  Separate and add a contrasting matte for each of the two smaller panels, then glue all panels together.  Finished with a simple die cut sentiment.  Get this wonderful stamp here:  https://techniquejunkies.com/hanukkah-background/.  Use my code TJ10FAITH for 10% off your order.  Happy Hanukkah and Happy Shopping!

Good Wednesday Morning! Today I am sharing the Hanukkah Background stamp that was released this month. I paired one with Happy Hanukkah, set of 2 and the card below with Scripted Holidays, set of 6.

My first card was stamped on watercolor paper in versafine black onyx.  Next, I did a blue watercolor wash over it. Dried with that gun and used Gold stickler for the menorahs. The sentiment is from and center on dimensionals.

My second card was stamped in blue and a fancy die cut was used to cut it out. I ran the white ribbon through the ink pad to achieve a nice, monochromatic look.

Merry Be Your Christmas

Hey Crafty Friends - 

I am still on a high after being apart of the Technique Junkies booth at the York, Pa stamp show last weekend! I can't say enough about how great Pat and the TJ products are! With that said let me show you how to make this card using the Merry Be Your Christmas and Zen Trees Background stamp sets. 

• I created a distress oxide background using 3 shades of green. 
• Next step I heat embossed the Zen Trees Background stamp using gold embossing powder. 
• I stamped the Merry Be Your Christmas stamp set using CTMH Topiary ink. I fussy cut around the sentiment and popped it up using 3D foam tape in the center of the card. 
• Add a few gold glitter gems and bitty sparkles to increase eye catching elements. 
• I cut out the distressed mat and black card stock using a deckled edge die. 

I love how the embellishments help with establishing an additional focus outside of the stamped sentiment. 

This second card was created by doing the following:

• I stamped the Zen Trees Background in black ink on white card stock. . 
• The Merry Be Your Christmas was stamped on white card stock using CTMH Topiary ink. I fit the sentiment mat within the background stamped mat. 
• I used 3D foam tape to add the sentiment to the Zen Tree Background mat. 
• To add flair I added gold metallic thread, red and green dots to the top of a few Christmas Trees. 
• I used a scalloped die to add a few layers.
