Amazing Birthday

 The Technique Junkies Christmas Gnome set has a couple of perfect stamps for birthdays! I used one here with one of the sentiments from the Bold Birthday Wishes stamp set. The Big Numbers background, colored direct-to-stamp with different ink colors, is perfect for this birthday card, too. I hope YOU have an amazing day!

Strong Roots

 Are your roots strong? Luckily, mine are. Today's card uses the Bare Branches background with one of the sentiments from the Beautiful Trees Set. A little ink blending and a little layering makes for a stunning card. Both stamps from www.techniquejunkies.com

Feel Like Sunshine

 Hi Crafters - 

Today I am sharing a card I created with the Feel Like Sunshine and Butterfly Woman stamps. 

I took a patterned piece of paper and used a brown distress oxide to ink blend around the edges. I used an arches cutting die and cut out a piece of gold and white card stock. The white card stock was ink blended with distressed oxide and splattered with water. 

I colored the image with alcohol markers and fussy cut it out, added gold thread and popped it up with 3D foam tape. I added the lovely sentiment and a few gold gems to finish up the card.

2 Sizes Smaller Faux Shaker Card Today we have a quick tutorial for making a "Faux" Shaker Card. Why is it a Faux Shaker? Because we are not using any dimensionals when making it. Eliminating them allows the card to be made very easily. This is a card we make in our make and takes at Stamp shows, so I know that it can be made in 15 minutes with ease. 2 Sizes Smaller

Deb here with a fun card from the latest Technique Junkies release - 2 Sizes Smaller .I definitely wouldn't mind doing laundry if I could pop myself in the dryer and come out 2 sizes smaller !! How about you ?!?!?!

• The 2 Sizes Smaller image was stamped on white cardstock and die-cut with a Big and Little Chain Rectangle Die.
• I used  Nautical Blue Memento ink .
• The stamped panel was matted with a piece of blue cardstock.
• I adhered a piece of blue/white checkered patterned paper to a white card base.
• The matted/stamped panel was adhered to the card base with foam tabs.
• The scalloped border was die cut from blue cardstock and adhered at the top of the card . It is my favorite retired Tim Holtz/Sizzix On the Edge Scallops Die.
• I adhered some sky blue pearls across the scallops.

It’s ALL ABOUT the OWLS

           It’s All About the Owls

Today’s cards feature a sweet pair of Owls.  I’m not sure how long this rubber stamp has been available, but I’m in love with it which isn’t surprising because…I love birds! What I like about the way these owls are drawn and designed is how easy they are to stamp next to each other. They just naturally blend. See the card with the 6 owls?  Those are all stamped on one piece of yellow paper. Wouldn’t it be fun to stamp on a slimline card?

Card #1 is a 5 x 7.  I started with a light blue piece of paper, stamped the Bare Branches coming in from the left side, shaded the corners using a stencil brush, then stamped a bat, Happy Halloween painstroke, and Owls on yellow, framed them in black and trimmed around them before adhering to the card front.  You can add a black bow like I did or simply add a strip of black paper or black glitter paper and your card is complete. You can leave the inside blank or add a fun snarky saying.  Who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh?

Whoop

 Whoop Here It IS!

I've been waiting for this stamp for a LONG time.  Thank you to Technique Junkies for making it.   I'm ure you all remember a song by Tag Team from the early 1990's that is still loved by all.  It has worked its way into our everyday day conversations.   It is about time it made its card making debut. 

I wanted to appear as if the moon was saying "Whoop", so I used white pigment ink to sponge a grey card stock.   I added a bit of yellow and grey to give it a spooky feel.  Splattered the white ink to create some stars in the background.  All it needed was a character wish a bit of personality.   With Halloween around the corner, I chose this too cute to spook ghost.   I hope you love it.  I know this stamp is going to be a favorite in my collection.
