Antiuqe Glimmer Mist - Penny Black kitten

I had one person tell me they couldn't open the attachment in my email so I thought I would put this on the TJ DT blog.

I am sure you are going to love this technique! I usually make several all at once since they are so easy to do and produce such wonderful results!

The link is now live so read about this wonderful technqiue and create some work. OK -- you can wait till you eat the turkey and all the fixings.

I colored the kitty and the butterflies with my Copic markers and used some Spellbinder die cuts for the background .

Enjoy!

Winter Scenic Season

I made another "Scene Silhouette" card using the set Scenic Season from Stampin' Up! I was tired of tearing paper to use for the clouds or hills background. So I used a Sharpie and drew "cloud humps" on a sheet of clear plastic I had saved from some packaging material -- possibly from a Cuttlebug embossing folder. These are great to save for a variety of tools -- even cutting them straight and using in your stamp positioner.

I started with white card stock. I sponged a variety of colors for the sky, sponged a light amount of a grayish blue for the snow at the bottom, inked up the trees with dark green, inked the snow line with the same grayish blue ink, and finally used a red marker and inked the bird. I added the sentiment at the bottom inked with black ink.

The sun is setting and it looks like it will be cold, crisp night!

Praying for You

I have really enjoyed the technique Scene Silhouettes from the August newsletter. This card uses the stamp set from Stampin' Up called Scenic Season but I cut off the words "Seasons Greetings" before I mounted the stamp. I could easily see this set becoming as absolutely versatile as the Lovely as A Tree set. So I didn't want to limit the use of this set to only Chrsitmas cards. I tore some computer paper to create the clouds and sponged colors a sunset and dusk fast approaching. I created grassy hill sides direct to paper using three different green ink spots and then sponging Soft Suede ink over the greens. I was inspired to create this card as I sat in church on Sunday. The words for one of the songs was overlayed on a sunset type of sky and I immediately thought of creating this card. I sponged the edge of the card with Not Quite Navy and then with Soft Suede inks. I am going to send this card to a friend who has recently had a serious health issue diagnosed. I hope you enjoy this card! It was fun to make.
