Hi, Donna here! I contribute to this blog on the second and fourth Friday of each month, and since this is the second Friday in January, here's my card. The technique I chose to feature is called Pencil Highlights and it was published in the Sept./Oct. 2010 issue of the newsletter. I used the technique on the background panel and the stamp I used is from Rubber Stampede. The rose, which I embossed with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Embossing Powder, is from the DoodleFactory Backlit Blooms collection from
Starving Artistamps.
Happy Friday!

WOW that's a gorgeous card Donna! Monochromatic themes are hard to pull off, but you've defied all odds with this masterpiece. Great layout and overall composition too. Just wonderful!
Beautiful card Donna. ~Diane
Love those muted colors. So soothing! I agree with Kathie. I often have a problem with monochromatic cards but this really nailed it!
This is absolutely a beautiful card, Donna. I live the brown tones you chose.
