Faux Washi and Distress Watercolor Card and Bookmark

Hello My TJ Friends!

Kathie McGuire here with you today on your stamping Saturday.

Today I'm sharing a project I made with some new Strong Stamps designs.I began my card design by making a Faux Washi (8-11 TJ newsletter) and attaching it to my base card. Since Faux Washi's vary in the end results, I made the background first and then selected coordinating Distress Inks to match when I painted the bookmark.

The bookmark was stamped with white embossing powder on watercolor paper and heat set. Then, I used the Distress Watercolor technique (coming up in the 12-11 TJ newsletter) to color it to match.

I added a few fibers to it, then used a Stampin' Up Word Window punch for the slot the bookmark fit into.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy Turkey Day next week to you and yours.

Kathie

Very beautiful indeed. I just got some white craft ink to use for embossing (along with the powder) and am looking forward to creating looks as you did.
