Good morning Junkies and welcome back for Day 17 of our 30 Days of Christmas! We are over halfway there! Pam here today to share a creative project using some fun "wintry" Technique Junkies stamps.
For today's project I am using the background stamp Star Power in a non-traditional way and the Snowflakes stamp set to make my background.
The background was created using a stencil mono print with Distress ink and Tim Holtz's Stencil Stripes. Atop that I stamped a few of the different TJ snowflake stamps in various shades of blue to create the full background effect.
For the snowflake I used the Background stamp Star power and stamped it onto white card stock with white acrylic paint to create a resist. Over top I applied various colors of blue Distress inks and then used this background sheet to cut out the Tim Holtz Layered snowflake die cut. Such a fun and different use of a stamp and no patterned paper required for this die-cut!
The Peace on Earth sentiment was cut from white card stock using a Tim Holtz thinlits die. A bit of Wink of Stella was applied to both the snowflake and the sentiment pieces to make them pop.
Thanks for joining me today and I also have another TJ showcase on my blog today so be sure to check it out - journeyawakensthesoul.blogspot.com.
Embrace Imperfection!
Pam
