Brightly Blue Birthday

Hey, Junkies! Ro, here to share a cheerful, bright, very blue, Birthday Card.  I wanted to do something deep and rich, so I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets, Calendulaand one of the new releases, Donuts Happy Birthday(Remember: you can save 10% off your TJ purchases with the code: TJ10Ro -- see details below)

I pulled out my set of Arteza watercolor markers, sat by a nice sunny window, grabbed a cup of tea, and colored to my heart's content. There's something very relaxing about a great image and a fist full of markers (or colored pencils, or water colors).

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, trimmed the piece down, and colored the background of that as well as the image. I mounted both panels on black cardstock and attached them to the card base.

I love how bright and cheerful this birthday card turned out. Much brighter than the gloomy Michigan winter days! So cheer up your day with a great image and your coloring medium of choice! And don't forget that you can save 10% on your TJ purchases by using the code below:

Come visit again tomorrow for another great project by one of the Technique Junkies Design Team Members!

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky.
