I used a 2 1/2" punch to punch thin chip board and my stamped background. I used glue stick to attach them together.
One of the fun thing about a technique like this is looking at your stamps a whole new way ... thinking about what portion of larger stamps will fit inside the 2 1/2" circle.
This one features Attitude Giraffes with a partial sentiment from Double Weird Sayings (using partial sentiments is another trick for a smaller palette).
For the next one I punched my background from the Books Background
stamped in darker blue ink on light blue cardstock.
Sentiment is from Bookworms - Set of 6.
For the final one, I found a stamp that almost fit completely inside the 2 1/2 circle ... Putting on Lipstick (the stamp sizes are include on the website, which helps too).
I stamped it in Versafine Chiati on a scrap of pink designer paper. On all of my coins I used hte ink pad to edge the circle.
I hope you'll find a 2 1/2" circle cutter in your stash and come join the fun (seriously ... why wouldn't you play ... there's a chance to $$ to buy more stamps ... and you don't win if you don't play).
I'll mail one of these coins to someone who leaves a comment on this post before next Wednesday morning, so include an e-mail address in your comment, so I know how to reach you..
