Hi Junkies, it's Holly posting today. Remember last week when I shared a distressed collaged butterfly card that I stamped with black soot distress oxide ink? I'm back this week to share another one but the process of creating this one is very different. Last week, I started with an inky background paper. Today, I started with a white sheet of paper.
I stamped the Butterfly Flourish Collage from Technique Junkies with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink onto some white cardstock. Instead of letting the ink dry, I immediately sprayed the stamped piece with Golden Olivine and Mixed Metal Shimmering Bliss sprays. Because I sprayed right away, I was able to catch some of the oxide ink before it dried, and the sprays helped the black ink fade out and bleed a little bit around the edges of the stamped butterfly. If you're going for a distressed look, this is perfect! As a bonus, I was able to get a shimmery and distressed look - love that!!
I stamped the Big sentiment with the same Black Soot Distress Oxide ink but I only sprayed the Mixed Metal Shimmering Bliss over it. It's so fun to see the gorgeous shimmer on this card. You can get all these products from Technique Junkies - the stamps, the Shimmering Bliss, and the ink. Use this code, TJ10Holly, when you check out and you'll save 10% off your order. Have fun!
