Hello all and Happy Saturday. Does anyone still own or use Flower Soft? Heck, does anyone remember Flower Soft? I have a feeling that many fans of Technique Junkies stamps have some and, maybe still use them. If you don't know what it is, it was made about over 10 years ago (or more) and it was all the rage. It was very fine foam that was dyed in different colors, it came in little pots, and all you did was add some glue and then drop some of the flower soft on it to give a flower look. Believe it or not, I found a company in the UK that is selling the rest of her stock. If you want any, check out THIS link.
I moved here to Brasil with all of my pots of Flower Soft and, after stamping the Wildflower Corner stamp, I knew it would be perfect to use on the flowers.
How did I make this card?
- I started with a top-folding A2 card made from red cardstock.
- I die-cut two pieces of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die. One, I adhered to the inside of the card for a message.
- Using the 2nd, I stamped the Wildflower Corner using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I stamped the sentiment "a journey is best measured in Friends, rather than miles" from Road Trip, Set of 6 (a great set).
- Next, working from top to bottom, I applied some glue to the flowers (one by one), dropped the flower soft on top, waited a few minutes, and then removed the excess. The colors I used are Autumn, Lavender, Baby Blue, and Lemon.
- While it was drying, I colored in the other flowers using some Tombow markers. Then I set it aside to fully dry.
- Lastly, I adhered some red crystals to the card front that matched the cardstock.
Thanks and until next time...
Hugs from Brasil.
~Michael
