Friends are Flowers

 Hello, 

It is finally feeling like SUMMER here in New York. !  It is my favorite season.  I love swimming, playing outside with the kids,  the warm and long days that end in beautiful sunsets.   I hope I can capture the magic of summer in my cards.  

We have been having a drought and the flowers are not growing really well in Upstate NY,  so I decided to create my own garden.

 Hello Junkies!

Wildflowers are just pretty.  I think they are technically weeds, but yet they have this way of captivating us.  I was instantly in love with this stamp.   I wanted to try to make a masculine card with it.  Can flowers be masculine?  I'd love to hear what you think.

I wanted to try stamping on some patterned paper that I had in my stash.  I think I've had this for about 10 years.  I was so glad to see this paper finally get turned into a card!  Do you have that problem?

I used wood enamel dots on this one... Not sure how I feel about them.  I think I like the twine better.  What do you think?

Things in the Garden

Pam here...sharing two fabulous stamps from the month of April. The first card showcases Born to Garden and my second card, In the Meadow. 

My first creation I used Distressed oxides with a floral stencil and then hi-lighted a bit of the greenery with  matching markers.

This card I stamped the In the Meadow in black and then used liquid pearls to accent the flowers. Added a floral embossed green layer and will add a sentiment when I know what I want it for!
