I used this crabilicous stamp set, PS008 Crabby, Set of 3

Of course, I had to have lotsa layers and foam tape on my card.  I even added these eentsy-weentsy tiny beads to the tan cardstock layers to make it look like real sand.

I had fun making this card because I've had those tiny beads, probably for 15 years, no lie!

Thanks for stopping by!

Live Not Exist

Good morning Junkies!  Marilyn here with you today and when I took a look at the April Release Swans and the One Must Live stamp, I knew they would be perfect together.

I used Palette Reflection Blue ink swiped across a piece of Tim Holtz Motif paper and then stamped Swans several times using my Misti and Versafine black ink until I had a nice dark black.  I then embossed the swans with Lindy's Stamp Gang Queen Sheba Silver, trimmed the image, then matted it on navy, then my black card base.

For the sentiment One Must Live, I repeated all of the above steps, once again using my Misti to get a good stamped impression.  I double matted it on navy and a piece of my base black card.

Don't forget, all new April Releases are 15% off until April 8th!

Until later.....................

More Jazz Please!

My jazz player (Technique Junkie Stamps The Saxophonist - http://techniquejunkies.com/the-saxophonist/) is in the orchestra -- and he is being featured so he has stepped out to the front.  Can't you see all the folks in audience clapping along to the beat?   I stamped the Technique Junkie Treble Clef Small - http://techniquejunkies.com/treble-clef-small/ in the background first.  Then I added the Saxophonist in front   with black Memento ink.  I colored the saxophone player with Copic markers.  I then colored in the saxophone with a silver marker.

Because silver ink is opaque, the lines showing the detail pf the saxophone were now gone.  But MISTI  -  http://techniquejunkies.com/mini-misti-most-incredible-stamping-tool-invented/ -  to the rescue! And Technique Junkie Stamps sells  them!  Next I only reinked the saxophone with Black Versafine ink.  I covered only the saxophone with detail black embossing powder, dumped off the excess, and heat set it. Now the details on the saxophone show up perfectly!

I stamped Technique Junkie Stamps Life is a Song - http://techniquejunkies.com/life-is-a-song/ - to the side.  The verse is stamped with Versafine Black ink, covered with detail black embossing powder and heat embossed.

Music background paper is placed on white card stock for the base card.  I wish this showed up better.   It is sucha lovely card -- it needed no other embellishments -- at least in my mind!

Have a great and inky day. It is cold here today -- so it is a good day to stamp! Don't forget -- all April Release Technique stamps are 15% off through April 8.  Be sure and check them out!

Welcome to the HOP! No foolin'!

Today is April 1st, and that means that it is Technique Junkies release day! We have 14 new stamps for you this month, and to celebrate, the TJ Design team has an inspirational blog to ignite your creative muse!

And, as always, the April Release stamps are 15% off through April 8th, too. Ready to be inspired?

We start with teo new stamps celebrating the crazy April weather: I Love Rainbows, and the Big Drops background.  In the example above, I sprayed Art Anthology Colorations over a plain white piece of cardstock, then stamped the Big Drops background over the dried piece. Notice how deep the color is on the inked portion of the Big Drops background? That's because I used my MISTI to stamp it repeatedly, covering any uninked portion with perfect placement.  I love that tool!

I Love Rainbows was colored with CopicMarkers to Match the background.

This second piece uses the brand new Dragonfly Collage Background, with the Change You Sentiment (from the Palettini Collection) layered over the top. The Butterflies and Dragonflies were colored with Copics, then overpainted with Dazzle Clear Coat Once the Dazzle dried, the background was sprayed with Art Anthology Colorations sprays.

The last two cards I have to show you today Use the Baseballs Background with the Swing for the Fences Stamp set over the top. I adore these pieces together -- they have a great "dusty" feel that really evokes the feel of the game.

I have more to show you -- but go through the op, because I am the last stop for the hop, too!  Here is the full line-up:

Do you have a song?

Hey Junkies!

The Crafty Nurse here with the 3rd post for March and I'm thrilled, because I can't get enough of this March release by Technique Junkies.

Today, I brought out my colored pencils using a super fun technique called, "Krafty Color Guilding from the Bodacious Backgrounds CD."  I admit the coloring craze has bitten me and I had a great time with this technique because this "Whimsical World #S634" image couldn't be more perfect for using pencils.

I also love the sentiment "Always Find a Song #SD414" because to me it is about your own choice to either put a song in your heart or remain silent.

I hope you will choose to sing!

In a few short days we will be sharing our April release and I for one can't wait.  We hope you will come back and hop with the Design Team.  Until then, keep inking!

Wax Paper Dylusions Spray Tutorial

Hello, Beth Norman here with a quick and easy tutorial for you that I call Wax Paper Dylusions Spray.  I developed this technique while trying to figure out what else I can do with sprays.  Any spray should work for you.

I used Park Walk and Simple Sentiments 2a.

Supplies:  Dylusions spray (or any spray), wax paper, white cardstock

Scrunch up your wax paper into a tight ball

Open up your wax paper and spray with Dylusions spray (or any spray)

Press your cardstock over the spray.  Rub over the entire surface of your cardstock

Results of doing this technique.  Let dry completely and use as desired.

I hope I inspired you to try this technique out.  Have a great week!
