Christmas Ornaments

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, here to share another Christmas card with you. Can you believe it's only 9 days until Christmas? Where did this month go, If you are like me then you are still making cards and your friends and family will receive them after Christmas.

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and a panel of watercolor paper cut down with a stitched die. When I use watercolor paper I always use my Misti so I can get a crisp image but today I
used it to help me stamp the cord and top to the ornament. Using the Christmas Ornaments set and the Mini Misti I used Tombow markers to color right on the stamp itself and then spritzed it with a fine mist of water and shut the lid to get the watercolored ornaments. Next I inked the stamps up with Versamark ink and closed the lid to stamp the cord and top of the ornament and then embossed them with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder. To fins the card I used a greeting from the Gifts of Christmas set and also embossed it with Gilded embossing powder.

You can purchase these stamps I used and lots more at Technique Junkies and I have a code for you to save 10%

TJ Inkspiration: Pearlescent Watercolors, Part One

I know I have been MIA on Fridays for the last few weeks, and I hope you can forgive me. I am embroiled in an inventory project that will eventually make my life easier, which is one of the reasons I have been MIA. The other reason is that we had to replace a window in my studio, and I was forced to move quite a bit of my stuff around in order to accommodate the installers. There were two results of that improvement - first, I have more natural light in my studio - and secondly, I rediscovered my Niji Pearlescent Watercolors.  I remembered how much I loved them, and it inspired me to create today's video!

Today's video is #1 of a 2-part series. I cover two quick techniques for using these gorgeous watercolors. One of the reasons I love them so much is their ease-of-use, and at $7.95, for 21 little pots of color, the price can't be beat, either.

The products I used on the finished cards are here:

Friends and Family At Christmas

Greetings from the cold northeast USA from Lynda Joy.  It is winter here, and Christmas is but a little over a week away!  I decided to use this amazing Pinecones stamp on my card today.  I love, love, love this background stamp from Technique Junkies.  It has so many possibilities!
For my card today, I stamped 'pinecones' onto a green piece of linen card stock.  I used a circle die to cut out a large circle for the focal point of my card.

I used an embossing pen to add embossing ink to different areas of the pine cones, then embossed with copper embossing powder.

I layered this onto an A2 green card, onto which I have a panel of copper paper, and a strip of dark green, along with a sheer copper ribbon.

For the sentiment, I used a verse from the Gifts of Christmas set.  I embossed the verse with copper embossing powder, then die cut the shape, and layered it onto another die cut piece.

I used foam tape to attach both the focal image and the verse panel to the card.  For accents, I used my Cropodile to punch some small circle shapes from glittered fun foam.
A pretty copper bow finishes off my card.

News flash - There is still time to enter the Technique Junkies Gradient Sponging Challenge.  It has been extended through January 14th!  Enter your project now to be eligible to win some TJ stamps!

Winter Wonderland Christmas

It's hard to believe that Christmas will be here in just a couple short weeks! Hope you are all ready!

I've taken a break from Christmas decorating, cooking baking, present wrapping, and the Hallmark Channel (lol) to whip up a fun little shaker card using Let It Snow and Magic of Christmas stamps.

Although I added a little more glitter to the shaker part than I had anticipated, I still love the card.

To make this card, I started by cutting a circle out of the top panel. I then lightly traced the circle on my card base and stamped the image in the center. I added some color with markers and some "snow" with Nuvo Drops.

I flipped over the front panel and attached a clear piece of acetate over the opening. I then added dimensional tape to coral the "shaker guts" (that's a technical term, right?). I attached a snowglobe frame to the front, added some snowflakes from the Let It Snow set and stamped the sentiment in red. I also added a couple of snowflake stickers to the acetate.

Then I flipped the card back over and added some glitter to the center of the acetate. I removed the protective paper from the dimensional tape and carefully placed the card base on the panel, making sure there was a good seal so no glitter would leak out.

To me, shaker cards are just so fun. I'm not sure why I don't make more of them!

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season and are getting your craft on!  Remember that you can always save 10%* on your order by using the code below:

ANOTHER HOLLY BIRD CHRISTMAS CARD

Hi there Junkies,

I hope you're all not tired of seeing Christmas cards yet...I love this stamp "Holly Bird"  (from the September 2017 release) and I just wanted to color him with PrismaColor Pencils on kraft cs and see how he'd turn out, and I really like it. What do you think?

The sentiment is "Merry Christmas 2" , one of my faves because of the font and the size.  After coloring the bird, ribbon and holly with the PrismaColor Pencils, I added "snow" with my white gell pen in the background as well as on some of the berries and leaves.  The sentiment was heat embossed with white ep.

Good news!  The Featured challenge "Gradient Sponging" has been extended through January 14th.  You've got more time now to play along with this challenge and win some TJ Stamps.  You can check out the details HERE and join in on the fun!  (So you'd like to play and be entered in the winning but don't own any TJ stamps...then there's MORE GOOD NEWS....head on over to Technique Junkies store and cash in on the 35% off sale on selected stamps.....STILL GOING ON....HURRY...NOT SURE HOW MUCH LONGER IT WILL BE AVAILABLE.

Christmas Mug Shot

Hi! Jeanne here today with a Christmas card for any cat lover.

I made a watercolor background and then stamped Christmas Mug Shot over the top in black. I colored the kitty and then added some watered down white acrylic paint to the sign and then restamped with my MISTI. I finished the sign with some Nuvo Drops for a little dimension.

Be your own kind of beautiful.

Hello friends! Giovana here today with a non-holiday card. Yes! I bet you are done making your Christmas cards, right? Hehehe, I am not and most likely will not, but that's OK, I just wanted to create something different for you and I hope you like it!

So, this is a very gold card, I have this idea and I love how it turned out.
Here, few details:
  • Start stamping "Nordic Knit" background on a piece of Cream cardstock in Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. Your MISTI will help you restamping the image to get a perfect impression.
  • Die-cut the middle are using a heart shape Or any shape you like.
  • Stamp the "Own Kind of Beautiful" sentiment on a piece of gold vellum in versamark Watermark Ink, then add Copper embossing powder, heat set.
  • Die-cut the background panel with stitched dies and added to card with foam tape.
This is how your card will look like at the end. I added few red pearls and a die-cut flower/leaves.

You can get this stamps at the Technique Junkies store, you can use my TJ10Giovana code and get a 10% off!!
Hope you like it.
Have a fantastic day.
