Good Morning!!! I hope you are all enjoying a nice weekend. Here in Kingston, we are having our first official "real" winter storm. It has been snowing since yesterday with a temperature of -18c. That truly is an anomaly because normally it won't snow at that temperature. That being said, we are warm and cozy at home with our two fireplaces blazing. This card is quite appropriate for a blustery winter day isn't it? This set is called Happy Winter Wishes I coloured the image with copics as I wanted some Brightness~~~~ Hope you stay warm and cozy today If you want to save a little on your purchase at TJ stamps, you can use my code: tj10vicki Happy Stamping! --Vicki~~ |

When I saw the Not My Circus stamp I thought shimmering sunburst of color, so that was my inspiration for this card. Grab your Shimmering Bliss Sprays and let's have some fun making a sunburst of color for Not My Circus stamp!
For the colors on the sunburst, I used Shimmering Bliss Sprays in Thulian Pink, Imperial Yellow, and Miami Vice.
My method for creating the sunburst was to quickly spray three 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch white cardstock with each Shimmering Bliss Sprays and then stack them before cutting them. Color side down mark around the edges halfway on each side, top, and bottom, then the sides once more so there are four bursts. The top and bottom get the same done, but you'll notice that I was in another universe when I measured mine and made six sunbursts! On a white cardstock score across the center horizontally and vertically at 2-1/8 inch and 2-3/4 inch. This will help you glue from the exact center for your card. Start gluing each piece from one of the scored lines and go around until they are all glued on. You will have extras to make another card, too!
I colored Not My Circus with colored pencils that were close in hue to the sprays and then used an oval die cut for a fun focal shape. Pop it up with adhesive foam, That's it!

Glitter Tape Fun
I won't lie ... I'm a bit of a glitter-phobe (okay more than *a bit*). I can't stand finding little bits of sparkle all over my clothes & my home ... which is why I'm a fan of the new Glitter Tape at Technique Junkies.
No stray glitter ... just a stripe of super-glittery goodness that all stays on your card (where it belongs).
Remember, you can use my code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off the entire store (including this fun Glitter Tape).
I like using my MISTI to apply glitter tape. It's easy to remove the overlap from the mouse pad or the glass surface ... and the grid lines help me line things up. The Glitter Tape is forgiving like washi tape ... so if you need to re-position, it's super-easy.
I also like attaching the Glitter Tape diagonally ... this is the gorgeous Copper Tape.

This is the beautiful Olive Green. I attached four equally-spaced horizontal strips to frame my image Faith Family Farming image ... the perfect touch of sparkle that even works for a masculine design.
I trimmed down my panel to frame some fun Why Fit In Giraffes (the 2nd guy is photo-bombing).
I couldn't resist adding some googly eyes to the Why Fit In Giraffes.
Love those fun little guys.
If you're a glitter-phobe like me (or even if you're not) can't wait to see what you create with the fun selection of Glitter Tape in the store.

Eiffel Tower in the Spring
I found this information about the Eiffel Tower on the internet and thought I would share it with you. These are not my own words.
The Eiffel Tower, as the name might suggest, was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel's engineering company, Compagnie des Établissements Eiffel.
Contrary to popular belief, however, Eiffel himself has very little to do with the tower's design and actual construction. The tower was designed by two of Eiffel's senior engineers, Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier. The tower's design came about after a discussion about a suitable centerpiece for the 1889 Paris Exposition.
The Eiffel Tower was originally constructed for the 1889 Paris Exposition.
It was specifically intended as the grand entrance to the Exposition and was not meant to be a permanent feature of the Parisian skyline. After its official inauguration in March of 1889, the tower was supposed to stand for 20 years and be dismantled in 1909.
This was the total time limit awarded to Eiffel for his permit to build it. Once ownership reverted to the City of Paris the original plan was to dismantle it. In fact, part of the original competition rules was for the winning structure to be easily dismantled. But as it provided a great radio antenna it was allowed to remain standing after the permit's expiration.
So groups of tourists travel to see the Eiffel Tower many years after it was built.
I used Technique Junkies Shimmering Bliss sprays to color the scene. The Technique Junkies Collage Eiffel stamp is so lovely. The truck comes from the Technique Junkies Stamps Enjoy the Ride. I used a small portion of Technique Junkies Key Script to stamp the die cut circle at the top left.
Please remember using the discount code TJ10Judy will discount your entire order amount by 10%.
Have a wonderful day, and get inky!
