Poinsettia card and tags!!

Hello friends!!
Hope you all are having a great day!
I want to share with you a set of tags I created using the Poinsettia, set of 4.

Details:
Create a background panel on a white cardstock panel (5.5" x 8.5") in Grenadine Ink
Die-cut tags from the panel, blend Tea Ink on all edges.
Stamp the Poinsettias, color them with markers and fussy cut them.
Adhere them to tags.
Stamp Merry Christmas sentiment on white cardstock, then die-cut them.

With the leftover border, make a card :)
Every single piece got used!!

Two Years in Review

Today is my final blog post as a member of the Technique Junkies Design Team ... it's been an awesome two years creating with these fabulous stamps.  Remember, you can still use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your entire order through the end of December.

I thought it would be fun to go through all the cards I've made and share 10 of my favorites (plus a new one).

This was one of the first cards I made with Technique Junkies Stamps ... and it's still one of my favorites.  I love the unexpected Pine Cones in pink.

I love the great masculine stamps ... this shimmery Life and Beer looks good enough to drink and the fun Paint Rings Background Stamp is perfect for all of the different drink stamps.

I've made lots of clean and classy wedding cards with the Bride with Bouquet Stamp ... this one was simply stamped and accented with adhesive pearls ... and how perfectly elegant is the sentiment from Wedding Wishes.

I used this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! with the Bride with Bouquet Stamp and Wedding Wishes sentiment for a new card.

I stamped the Bride on Lace Designer paper and colored her bouquet with pencils.

I love exercising my marker and pencil skills with all of the gorgeous floral stamps at Technique Junkies ... the Hydrangeas is one of my personal favorites because it reminds me of my grandma.  The sentiment is from the oh-so-versatile Simple Sentiments 1a.

This sentiment & image combination (Dear Santa with  Christmas Kitty) was the one I used the most ... I love this kitty in red.  And if you love CAT stamps ... Technique Junkies is the store for you.

I love the striking beauty and simplicity of the Side Hat (especially with the pop of those red lips) ... and Audacity is the perfect companion sentiment.

I first fell in love with Technique Junkies because of their techniques ... I learned so many things throughout the years.  Love how the Winter Foliage Background worked with this marker and water technique.   The All is Calm Sentiment is perfect for the holidays.

The Framed Sunflower is perfect for practicing some water-coloring ... so big and bold.  Sentiment is from the Super-Versatile Simple Sentiments 1b.

Technique Junkies is indeed the Queen of Background Stamps ... and the Red Rubber is so perfect for all sorts of techniques.  This one played with Distress Oxide Sprays and the lovely Christmas Lights ... the slight shading on each bulb makes it perfect for coloring.  Sentiment is from the super-affordable set of six Victorian Greetings.

This inky, splattery beauty just might be my favorite ... the Big Butterfly Collage is so perfect for all sorts of inky play.

I'm so grateful for the time I've spent designing with these gorgeous stamps.  Thanks for joining me for a walk down memory lane.

Technique Junkies is having an Inventory Reduction Sale with 35% off a large inventory of stamps.

Remember, even if stamps aren't included in the clearance, my discount code TJ10Stephanie still gets you 10% off.

Wine Tag Tutorial

35% off a huge assortment of stamps at Technique Junkies.

These stamps are on sale for 35% off.  Use my code TJ10Beth to receive an additional 10% off.  45% off sounds great, doesn’t it?!

Hello fellow stampers.  I am in the need for a wine bottle tag for a large open house I'm attending this weekend, and I always like to give the hostess a bottle of wine, and wanted to make it extra special this year.  I thought a handmade wine bottle tag would fit the bill.

Using my most-used Christmas stamp, called Merry Christmas, I coloured it up with Prismacolor coloured pencils.

To receive a 10% discount on this stamp, and any other regularly-priced product at Technique Junkies, simply use my code below.

Cut your cardstock (here I used Kraft cardstock) paper to 9.5" x 3".  Score at 3".  This will be the top of your tag.

Using a ruler, draw a line from each corner, at an angle, and where the line intersects, cut up to that point to create two points for the bottom of your tag.
Emboss your tag up to the 3" line, or you can carry the embossing right up to the top of your tag.
Cut out your image and layer it as much or as little as you like.  Here, my red edges are a little rough because I hand cut my red matt.  I think it gives my tag a rustic feel, so if you do the same, look at it as a little rustic.
Close-up of my tag, using Merry Christmas
This will be my last post before Christmas, so I want to wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Touch Of Gold Poinsettia

Hello my lovelies!  Aren't you loving all the holiday inspiration on the Technique Junkies blog and Facebook page?  I am really into the holiday spirit.  Today I am using lots of red, with shimmery gold and a teensy bit of white.
**See below for details for how to get 45% off the Fairy Tale Set and Big Flourish stamps I used inside the card!

Stamps:  SS099 Poinsettia Set of 4
JT030 Victorian Greetings Set of 6
SS085 Fairy Tale Set of 5 (inside)
              S448 Big Flourish (inside)

I started with watercolor paper, and used distress ink with ink applicators to cover the paper with downward swipes of pink and red distress ink.  When fully covered, I used sprayed a fine mist of water over it to let the colors blend and soften.  When that was dry, I sprinkled droplets of water onto the background, then wiped them up with a cloth, to create soft whitish splotches.

I stamped both poinsettia images from the Poinsettia Set randomly onto the panel, using the same pink and red inks.

I used white pigment ink to stamp the Merry Christmas verse from the Victorian Greetings set.  Finally, I added some white acrylic paint dots with a stylus tool, then spattered on some gold FineTec paint.

I layered the panel onto a panel of gold glitter paper, then onto a red A2 card front.

Next, I white embossed the smaller poinsettia from the set onto a scrap of red card stock, and painted it with FineTec gold paint, then spattered the same gold onto the panel.  I added this to a gold glitter panel, then a white panel, with a scant 1/16" border, just to bring in a tad more white to offset the white splotches and embossing.  I added this to the card with foam tape to give the card some dimension.

And for the inside, I used gold sparkly embossing powder for the verse from the Fairy Tale Set of 5 set and the Big Flourish stamp.  By the way...both of these fabulous stamps are on the 35% Inventory Reduction list.  See below for details!!  Add my TJ10Lynda discount code and take another 10% off, for a 45% discount now!!

Winter's Butterfly

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal here to share with you today. I have a Christmas series going on over on my blog, Simply Beautiful. Hop on over and check it out for lots of Christmas inspiration.

For my card today I used one of my favorite sets, Snowflakes This set has the prettiest snowflakes and some great sentiments. You can get 10% off this set and the rest of your order by using my code TJ10Ceal.

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base. I stamped the snowflakes with embossing ink and then embossed them in white. I masked off a portion at the top and blended some Blue Raspberry ink over them using the Life Changing Blender Brushes.  To finish the card I spritzed it with water and added the sentiment at the top
