TJ Inkspirations: Aladine Progessive Sale - Save up to 50%!

As we move on with Coronavirus isolation, I find myself growing itching to do new things.  I bet you feel the same way.

My way of doing new things is showing you how to use fun products. I am almost ready to do that -- but in order to bring more in, I have to let some things go -- even though I love them!

That leads us to today's Aladine Progressive Sale. All of the items in the Aladine category start at 35% off, and the more you buy, the more you save, up to 50% off! Here is how it works:
- Buy 1 - 5 Aladine items, get 35% off
- Buy 6 - 11 Aladine items, get 40% off
- Buy 12 or more Aladine items, get 50% off

Many of the things left in this Blowout sale have only one or two pieces left per color, so if you find something, don't hesitate - it will be gone before you know it! Retail orders only - and once an item is gone, it is gone!

Just as a reminder, here is some art made with each of the different Aladine products:

Aladine Liquid Pigment Inks

Aladine 3D Texture Paste

Aladine IZINK Diamonds

Aladine IZINK Dye Inks

I hope you find yourself a great bargain!
I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week!

Paint the World

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to a pretty card made with some of the wonderful August release products!

This card uses an awesome new background stamp, 'World Compass'. I stamped the sentiment from the new set 'Celebrate Diversity' on the white focal panel, then stamped the image using Versamark Ink, and embossing with white embossing powder onto another white panel. Using the 'Ink Blending Brushes', I blended some Distress Oxide ink onto the image. The layers were adhered together, and mounted onto a Kraft card base.

I love making cards that are so very easy, but look difficult! Technique Junkies background stamps make such an awesome card!

This August release has been amazing! Wait until you see the September release!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

This were so easy to create, and perfect for the turmoil in our world today! Hope you will take a look at this wonderful sentiment set!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

Gnomes in Action

If you like action cards, you're in for a treat today. Because I have an adorable double z-fold wiper card featuring Gnomies Forever. Here is the card in it's closed position...

Cute, right? But check it out when it's opened...

Hey! Where'd that fourth guy come from? It's magic! Here it is in action...

While this card is a little more complicated than a regular fold card, it is attainable. I google double z-fold wiper cards and found a ton of great tutorials. I chose not to create my own tutorial since I didn't feel the need to reinvent the wheel. The trickiest part of this card is getting the wiper mechanism positioned and attached. The rest of the card is easy peasy.

I assembled the card using some fun papers. I stamped and fussy cut four of the cute lil gnomies and attached them to the card and wiper mechanism. I decided not to color them because they really stood out in just black and white. The birthday sentiment is Donuts Happy Birthday. The other sentiment is from the Gnomies set. I simply inked only half the sentiment "Gnomies Forever" and hand wrote "from Your" with a black marker.

I am just loving these characters!

By the way, want to save a little $$$? Simply enter my code "TJ10Ro" when you check out your order and you will save 10%! Remember, this code never expires!

Hope you enjoyed this action card today.

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!

Paint with Peace!

This card uses Faces of Diversity and Celebrate Diversity.  The verse was heat embossed.  I will  not lie and say coloring these faces was quick, but how I did it made it faster!  I did it assembly line style.   Using my Copic markers I chose a skin color and then chose faces for that skin color.  Then the next skin color, and so on.  Then I did the hair. Last was the clothing.   I found the colored the strip of paper and thought it went with the verse.   We certainly live in a diverse culture.

I also spritzed the top with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper!  Love this stuff!!

Please remember to use TJ10Judy when you check out to get 10% off your total order.

I hope your day is warm and wonderful, and that you get inky!!

Walk in my Garden

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this shimmery watercolored card with you.  I stamped the gorgeous new Floral Card Frame with permanent green ink onto some watercolor paper, and then I stamped the sentiment from In Full Bloom in the center of the frame.

While the ink was drying, I pulled out some shimmery, iridescent watercolor paints and picked a pink, a blue, and a pale green color.  I covered the entire paper with water and then added the paints randomly for a soft, ethereal look.  The shimmer on this card is just gorgeous.  Hopefully you can see a bit of the shimmer in the picture.  Have a wonderful week!

TJ Inkspirations: Using Transfer Gel with Stamps and Foil

Back in the Good Old Days (pre-COVID) we had a make-and-take in our booth using Transfer Gel Duo, Stencils and Foil. While very popular, we were constantly asked whether the Gel could be used with stamps.

There were two reasons why I discouraged people from using the gel on their stamps. First, I was afraid that the gel would ruin people's stamps. Secondly, finding a way to apply the gel was a challenge -- it is important to apply the gel fully, without any (or much) excess pooling around the edges of the images.

I finally figured out how to resolve these two issues.  First, the gel DOES come off the stamps, provided that the stamp is IMMEDIATELY cleaned. Second, I found that using a un-inked stamp pad as the applicator was the ticket to controlling how much gel was placed on the stamp.

So today I have a quick video for you showing how to use Foil and Transfer Gel with your stamps to create pretty backgrounds. I made up a quick kit for you, too, so that you can try this for yourself!  Here is the kit, the artwork, and the video:
