Good morning, Junkies! It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this snowy birch tree card as we near the end of this crazy year. We all certainly hope the new year will bring new hope for us all so we can resume activities that we abandoned in the wake of the COVID crisis. Thankfully stamping and cardmaking is something we can do in the safety of our own homes, and I've been stamping up a storm this year.
On this card, I placed the Falling Snow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs on some purple cardstock and sponged some white pigment ink over the stencil. The Birch Tree Border was stamped with a gray ink onto white cardstock, cut out, and glued to the snowy background. I stamped the New Year New Hope with the white pigment ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
Here's hoping 2021 is much better and that you all stay safe and healthy this holiday season.
I was on the telephone with a customer a couple of months ago, and our conversation inspired me to create a few Hanukkah and Jewish themed images. This Happy Hanukkah Set, along with the Judaica stamp, were the result of that conversation. There are two sentiments here -- which I thought would be perfect for the inside and outside of a card:
To create my card, I used the Herringbone Washi tape technique to create the background. If you would like to learn how to make this background, you can find the tutorial here (published previously):
Enjoy!
