It's Your Birthday!

The background Baseballs! was stamped with a light brown ink.   Then I stamped Baseball in Motion with  back pigment ink on top.   I covered it with clear detail embossing powder and heat set.  The greeting is from Swing the Fences.  I stamped it with black pigment ink, covered with clear embossing powder, and heat set.

Healing Power

Sometimes you just need a quiet moment to yourself, and this card is a reminder to enjoy those moments in the garden this spring.  This beautiful sentiment is from the new In The Garden set from Technique Junkies.  I stamped the beautiful Spring Flowers with a pink ink onto some white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment with black ink right onto the pink flowers.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% when you shop at Technique Junkies.  There are hundreds of stamps to choose from and tons of inspiration.  You can also pick up some distress oxide ink pads, some foils, and some Shimmering Bliss sprays (my favorite!).

TJ Inkspirations: Blended Layered Rainbows

Blended Layered Rainbow Cards & Kits
You have to try this!
As soon as I saw the Layered Rainbow Bridge Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs I knew they were a match made in heaven with the Technique Junkies Loss of a Beloved Pet stamp. Once I started working with them I realized that I had other stamps that were perfect for these rainbows too. That is how these kits evolved - I planned on one and ended up with 3!

These stencils were designed right - the ability to apply the ink in sections without pushing the ink into other sections is brilliant! Notice how the layers are all separate? That is good design. And that makes them a joy to work with! Kudos to A Colorful Life Designs for this great stencil set.

Today we have a video showing you how to use them and we have several kits to make the various cards in the video. The kits are stencil/stamp combinations that we suggest - but they save you a little money, too. All of the parts and pieces are available individually, also, HERE.

The kits and the coordinating cards are below the video.
Let us show you how!

Take note...there will not be a video next Friday. Instead, next Saturday, is release day. Watch for our new May designs on Saturday!

Live What you Love Wildflowers

I love every day of my life. I love my job, my family, and the course my life is on. When things go awry, this stamp is a great reminder to spend every day with purpose and do the things we love. The Wildflower Border stamp was colored with Copic Markers and is a gorgeous reminder to keep pretty things in your life, too! https://techniquejunkies.com/april-2021-new-stamp-release/

In the Garden with Tracy

Hello! This is Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, and today I am sharing two cards that I created for the Technique Junkies Design Team. I am not a gardener, but I love this background stamp that features garden tools and the sentiment stamp set is a must have for anyone who loves to play in the dirt.  I have lots of friends who are avid gardeners and I am looking forward to sending them a card using these beautiful stamps from Technique Junkies  https://techniquejunkies.com/

The stamps and products that I used include:

Here's how I created these cards:

1. I created a mat layer for the background by swiping Catherine Pooler inks across a size 4.25" x 5.5" cardstock panel. I used purple (Serenade), blue (Cummerbund) and green (In the Park) inks. I sprayed the panels using TJ Iridescent Shimmering Bliss and sat them aside to dry.
2. I used my stamp positioner and stamped the large Garden Tools background stamp onto a 4" x 5.25" watercolor panel (Canson cold press water color paper). I used Catherine Pooler Midnight Archival Ink.
3. I used Karin markers in a variety of colors. Karin makers are water/dye based, so I used water and fine tipped paint brush to blend the colors as I painted the garden tools.  I used the Karin markers to also color the background of each panel. I used the new Deckle Trimmer to trim the edges.
4. I selected two different sentiments from the In the Garden sentiment stamp set. I stamped these sentiments, using Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink, on a piece of light blue paper. I trimmed these with the Deckle trimmer. I matted the blue sentiment cards to bright green paper (also trimmed with the Deckle trimmer). I used foam tape to pop the sentiment and mat layer up off the face of the card panel, adding just a bit of dimension to the card.

Thanks for visiting - have a Hopeful Day!

Where flowers Bloom...

This sentiment is so lovely. It just evokes the idea of lush colorful flowers blooming in the spring, bringing hope to those of us who have spent many long months inside.  The background paper and lace are from my obscenely rich stash, and the stamp made be found here:
