Wishing you a day that Sparkles

What kind of cards come to mind when you read this sentiment?  "Wishing you a day that Sparkles"

I think I'd use it for Birthday, Cheering up, Thinking of you...even a Get well or Surprise...I was thinking of you today kind of card. It'd bring a smile to that person's face when they pulled it out of the envelope, don't ya think?

I used shimmering bliss, a piece of scrap glitter card stock and flashy gems to create this sparkly card.

Stamps used: Wishing you a day that Sparkles and Delicate floral borders (set of 2).

Product used: Shimmering Bliss (Mermaid).

The new April release of stamps is 15% off through 4/8.

Everything else is 10% off using code TJ10AJ.

I hope you have a day that SPARKLES!

Grungy Vintage Stamps

Hello, Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter here with a grungy card for Technique Junkies that features two stamps from the August Technique Junkies Release. I used a sentiment from the You're Vintage set of four and the Vintage Paris Advertisements Stamp. Don't forget to use my code: TJ10Tracy to save 10% on your Technique Junkies order. https://www.techniquejunkies.com

I created a YouTube Video of my card. You can watch it here:

To create my card, I first sprayed my background panel with Harvest Sunset, Gold, Chestnut Mare and Worn Saddle Shimmering Bliss Sprays. I dried this and then stamped the Paris Advertisement stamp onto this panel with VersaFine Claire Nocturne Ink. I then embossed the sentiment using the same Nocturne Ink and clear embossing powder. I cut the sentiment panel and my background panel out with my Deckle Trimmer. I also deckle trimmed a mat layer for the sentiment (also created with shimmering bliss sprays). I splattered Gold and Copper metallic water color paint over the panel and the sentiment with Finetec Metallic Watercolor Paints. I popped the sentiment up with foam tape and adhered this to the mat layer which I glued to the background panel. I mounted my card onto an A2 black card base.

It Takes a Long Time To Grow an Old Friend

Hello. Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter here, with a few cards using a sentiment from the new You're Vintage Stamp Set from Technique Junkies: https://techniquejunkies.com/youre-vintage/  This stamp set is part of the awesome August new release: https://techniquejunkies.com/august-2022-new-stamp-release/  I also used some previous released stamps. You're Vintage: https://techniquejunkies.com/youre-vintage/
To create my first card I ink blended a background panel using three colors of Catherine Pooler Inks: Chiffon, Catching Rays and Pucker Up. To ink blend, I used foamed domed blending tools and Hammermill premium cover paper, 100 lbs. I then stamped the sentiment at the top of the card. For the bottom of my card, I used the previously released Wildflower Silhouettes stamp. I trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle die and then adhered it to an A2 black card panel.

For my second card, I created my background with Lapis Lazuli and Smoldering Ash Shimmering Bliss Sprays. I stamped the bottom of the panel with the previously released Growing Wild Stamp. I then splattered white ink on the panel.  Next I heat embossed the sentiment using black embossing powder. I had a piece of paper that I sprayed with Shimmering Bliss Spray in the same colors as the background panel that I used as a mat later behind the sentiment. I trimmed everything with my Deckle Trimmer and adhered it to a white card panel.

In the Garden with Tracy

Hello! This is Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, and today I am sharing two cards that I created for the Technique Junkies Design Team. I am not a gardener, but I love this background stamp that features garden tools and the sentiment stamp set is a must have for anyone who loves to play in the dirt.  I have lots of friends who are avid gardeners and I am looking forward to sending them a card using these beautiful stamps from Technique Junkies  https://techniquejunkies.com/

The stamps and products that I used include:

Here's how I created these cards:

1. I created a mat layer for the background by swiping Catherine Pooler inks across a size 4.25" x 5.5" cardstock panel. I used purple (Serenade), blue (Cummerbund) and green (In the Park) inks. I sprayed the panels using TJ Iridescent Shimmering Bliss and sat them aside to dry.
2. I used my stamp positioner and stamped the large Garden Tools background stamp onto a 4" x 5.25" watercolor panel (Canson cold press water color paper). I used Catherine Pooler Midnight Archival Ink.
3. I used Karin markers in a variety of colors. Karin makers are water/dye based, so I used water and fine tipped paint brush to blend the colors as I painted the garden tools.  I used the Karin markers to also color the background of each panel. I used the new Deckle Trimmer to trim the edges.
4. I selected two different sentiments from the In the Garden sentiment stamp set. I stamped these sentiments, using Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink, on a piece of light blue paper. I trimmed these with the Deckle trimmer. I matted the blue sentiment cards to bright green paper (also trimmed with the Deckle trimmer). I used foam tape to pop the sentiment and mat layer up off the face of the card panel, adding just a bit of dimension to the card.
