3 D Gold

From the Oct/Nov newsletter,
For some reason I cannot get a good photo of this card. It is much prettier IRL. I can see that this is a technique that I will keep coming back to. It makes for a very elegant card that takes only a short time to create. With an countless number of stencils available, the options for this technique are endless. Think about using this technique the next time you make a card, as it is suitable for any occasion.

I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you will all be surrounded by those that mean the most to you.

See you back here soon

Try That Technique - Painted Burlap

Hi Junkies, Tricia here with this week's Try That Technique, Painted Burlap.

I used papers and stamps from Gina K Designs.  I airbrushed the snowflake on the painted burlap using one of my stencils.  I added some lace and dimensional pearls.

I hope you will play along this week.  For our fellow Americans, here's wishing you and yours a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Puppy Love

I made a card for our Dog sitter using the Peek-a-Boo Holes Technique in the current newsletter.
This image looks so similar to my dog- always greeting me with a tennis ball in his mouth and waiting to play!  The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink from SU onto shimmery cardstock from Paper Temptress. I used punches to create the puppy paws.

Have a great day!

Out of The Box

Hello Junkies, Tricia here...

I made this Christmas Card using the out of the box technique.

The digital stamps are from Karen's Doodles and the sentiment is from Stampin Up!  I used copics to color the images with copics.  I popped up Santa with pop dots.  The cardstock and designer papers are from Gina K Designs.

Hope you have a crafty day!

Angelic Peek a Boo Holes

Hello, Beth Norman, here with this week's technique Peek A Boo Holes.  It is a technique that can be used many different ways, but my favourite is with snowflakes.  It adds an element of surprise, don't you think?    I like how this card turned out and plan to make more of them for next year's Christmas cards for my mom and two sisters.

My Copic markers are three years old and I'm only just now starting to use them, having been a die-hard coloured pencil fan.  I love the look of Copic markers so you'll be seeing me use them more.  As you may know, I love to colour and most of my cards use some method of colouring.  I like to use Tombow markers as well.  What do you like to colour with?

My new-to-me stamp is from Penny Black.

I do hope you join us with this week's Technique of the Week.  I'll be watching for them on our Yahoo group.

Peek A Boo Holes

Hey Junkies, Tricia here with this weeks Try That Technique...another great technique called Peek A Book Holes.

This is such a versatile technique...won't you play along?

Stamps:  I Brake For Stamps; Stampin Up!; Impression Obsession

This cute little reindeer was colored with copics.  I also used my stencil to make a subtle background behind him.  The sentiment and peppermint stamps are from Stampin Up!  The background swirls are a stamp from Impression Obsession.

I would love to see your take on this technique...have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Hello Friends! Kathie McGuire here today to share a project with a spring feeling that can be easily changed to fit your holiday gift giving needs. This is a bag topper I created to match the gifts inside. I used the Pencil Over Marker technique from the 2/05 Technique Junkies newsletter.
