Brayered Rub-ons

Hello TJ Friends~ Kathie McGuire here to share a card I made using the Brayered Rub-ons technique from the current newsletter. Fast and fun, and a whole new way of using rub-ons! The top portion of the card is silver cardstock run through a Cuttlebug folder, and the medallion piece is a Spellbinders die cut. I used a metal sheet from Add a Little Dazzle, and then after I cut and embossed it, I sanded the black off with a sanding block. Thank you for taking the time to stop by! ~Kathie

Offset Die Cuts

Hello there.  This week's Technique of the Week is Offset Die Cuts from the February issue.  It is a fun technique and I'm sure you are seeing lots of these showing up already on our Yahoo group.  It seems to be a popular technique for us Junkies.

My center flower stamp is from Stampn' Up! and my sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, one of our sponsors.

Stay warm.  I know it's been cold all around Canada and the United States.

Stayed tuned for more Offset Die Cuts from the design team.  I hope you are inspired to try this technique if you haven't done so already.

Try That Technique - Offset Die Cuts

Stamps:  Penny Black, Gina K Designs

I created this cute hedgehog card using the try that technique - Offset Die Cuts.

What a great card in person.  I just love all the layers!

I colored this sweet image with copics.  I actually cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Hope you will join in with us this week!

Have a great day!

Holly Brown: Brayered Rubons Cowboy

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm using the Technique of the Week today.  This week's TOTW is Brayered Rub-ons from the Feb/March 2014 issue.  I found some old flower rub-ons and used those for my background piece today.  The stamped image is from one of our wonderful vendors, About Art Accents/Art Neko.  I colored it with my new Inktense pencils - lots of fun!

I hope you try out this Brayered Rub-ons technique.  It's really easy and such a fun new look for backgrounds.  :-)

Antique Glimmers Card - A Technique Junkies Stamp by Judy Jackson

One of my all time favorite techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter is  Antique Glimmers from the December 2009 issue.  All of the stamps on this card are from the line of stamps offered by Technique Junkie Stamps, formerly known as Stamp Camp.  http://www.stampcamp.com/  I used a Copic marker to color the moon peeking through the clouds at night.  The background tamp was used without an acrylic block, but curved in my hand -- stamping different areas of the stamp at different angles to create that look.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

This technique is very vesetile and fun.
Hope you give it a try too.

I used Club Scrap's Wild Flowers kit paper and stamps.
The border die and the body are from the
