Mixed Media Sass!

I'm just stopping by to share a sassy little tag using on of this months New Release Stamps!

So let's take a look.....

Products Used:  Too Many Options Stamp, Art Anthology- Colorations Spray, Minx Ink & Sorbet, Versa Mark Ink Pad, Embossing Powder, Melissa France Wood Embellishment, Beads, Wire & Rhinestones.

I started by stamping & embossing my "Too Many Options Stamp" 

Next I colored my tags background with a bit of Art Anthology Colorations Spray, I used Granny Smith and Glorious. 

 Next I added a bit of doodling using my White Uniball and a few splatters of Art Anthology Minx Inks. 

And just for a bit of dimension and sparkle I added a bit of Art Anthology Sorbet though a stencil. 

Finally I added my embellishments, a piece of wood from Melissa Frances, a bit of wire and beads and just a few rhinestones for a bit of extra bling. (I colored my wood embellishment with Plush & Gilead Gold from Art Anthology)

And there you have it easy peasy, a fun sassy tag!

Take a Trip

Good morning Junkies!  Today I have a couple of journal pages to share with you which I created using the Vintage Travel Cases stamp set.  Here they are:

For the first journal page, I used an old map I found in an early 1900's dictionary.  I stamped the couple from the Vintage Travel Cases stamp set and colored it with Art Anthology Indulgence Minx, Allure Minx, Salted Caramel Colorations, Warm Colorations, and French Toast Colorations.  I carried those colors over to the embellishments and then embossed the word Journey.

For the second page, I sprayed Art Anthology Ink Spot, Sandcastle, and Silk Tie Colorations on the paper, blotting in-between applications.  I then stenciled Mini Citiscape from TCW using Fresco Finish Paint.  I stamped the trunk and suitcase images from the Vintage Travel Cases stamp set, cut them out, and then colored them with Art Anthology Warm, Sandcastle, and Silk Tie Colorations.  I stamped the sentiment from Vintage Travel Cases in black ink in the top left corner and finished off by adding a few airplane embellishments.

 Well, that's it for today.  These pages have been sent to my swap partner (she requested a travel theme) and I'm off to create some more!

Other Options

The beautiful veiled lady is a newly released March Technique Junkie Stamp. SD658 Veiled Woman http://techniquejunkies.com/veiled-woman/ The first time I saw her she reminded me of Katherine Hepburn.  I used Copic markers to color her face and eye shadow.  

I also used Technique Junkie Stamps SD669 Too Many Options http://techniquejunkies.com/too-many-options/  .  That saying stamp was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.  The verse was layered on a piece of torn vellum.

The background panel was created with my gelli art plate.  I used a variety of Art Anthology Products including Minx.  http://techniquejunkies.com/products-and-accessories/art-anthology-products/

I wrapped an organdy ribbon around the the panel before adding the focal image and saying.  Then I tied it in a bow and used my heat gun to "crinkle" the ribbon a bit.

Lovely Tulips in Two Designs

Hello Junkies!
Karen McAlpine with you today.  And hopefully I will bring a little Spring into your day.  I have been stamping and stamping with this March new release large stamp, Tulips.  The stamp is so pretty on its own, I wanted it to be the focal point of the projects.

Materials:

Stamp: Tulips from Technique Junkies

Ink: Sea Breeze Versa Magic; pink and taupe pigment inks

CS: White; pink, aqua, taupe

Clear Embossing Powder

Extra Wide Ribbons

Make It:

• Make a card from pink, aqua, and/or taupe CS
• Stamp Tulips on white CS with pigment ink
• Heat emboss with clear powder

• Add the Tulip embossed piece to the card base 
• Add a extra wide luscious bow
•  I am using the cards for Easter and have added an Easter Sentiment on the inside.  Some good choices from Technique Junkies are: Simple Sentiments 1a and 1b

********In the second design, I punched squares from the Tulips.

Ink: Summer Sky Memento

CS:White; Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, and Pacific Point from Stampin' Up

Edge Punch

Ribbon

Pearls

 Make It:

• Make a card from Marina Mist CS
• Stamp the Tulip with Summer Sky ink on white CS
• Use a punch to punch out squares

• Layer each Tulip square on a rectangle of Pacific Point CS
• Punch a strip of Bashful Blue CS along one edge and add to card base
• Add the large rectangle with the Tulip squares to the card
• Add ribbon and pearls

Butterfly Dreams

Hey Junkies!

The Crafty Nurse back with some inky inspiration for this wonderful almost spring day!  I hope you all get a chance to play a little in your craft room while you enjoy the coming of great weather.

For my card today I went monochromatic using the new March Palettini release "Vintage Butterfly Collection #P035."   The technique today is from the Bodacious Backgrounds CD called, "180 Degree Stamping,"  The two inks are Altenew Deep Iris and Lavender Fields.  This technique is super easy and creates fabulous depth to your card.

The sentiment is from "Simple Sentiments Set 3a  #SS03A" simply stamped and popped up on foam. I added two panels of ribbon by Ellen Hutson and finished off with sequins filled with Stickles (I prefer not to see the holes).  I also added a line of Stickles on the edge of the card stock for a little added bling.

Color Burst Stencil Tutorial

Hello, Beth Norman here.  I couldn't resist using Too Many Options sentiment with Oh La La Kitty.  Somehow this little stinker looks full of trouble, don't you agree?

Today I have a tutorial on one way to use your Color Bursts.  Hope you enjoy this quick and easy technique.  

Supplies:  Stencil, white card stock, Color Bursts, water spritzer.

Place your stencil over top of your white card stock.  Blow puffs of air-filled Colour Burst on your desired spot over top of your stencil.

Add as many colours as desired.  For my card I just used yellow and orange.

Spritz with water and see the magic happen.

Lift your stencil and see the beautiful results.  Finish your card as desired.
