One Last Christmas Card

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today. I just had to make one last Christmas card before the year ended, after all we only have 360 days to make our cards right? I need to have started yesterday in order to get done it seems. I am still working on holiday cards to send out, I think I am down to 15 so that is a plus.
To make this card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used the Christmas Trees set of 6 and did some 2nd generation stamping for the trees at the bottom of the panel. To create the cloudy sky I just sponged a little Broken China Distress ink across the top of the panel. Next I stamped the Santa in Moonlight in Black and colored in the moon with Copic markers. To finish the card I added the greeting Merry Christmas 2 and attached the panel to the card base.

Happy New Year!

Greetings, Lynda Joy here.  I hope you had a healthy and happy holiday!  Now it's time to get ready for the new year.  I'm ringing in 2018 with lots of stars.....
I used the star ornament from the Christmas Ornaments stamp set .  The verse is from the Gifts of Christmas set.

I stamped several onto silver and gold card stock, and embossed with Judi-Kins Black Opal embossing powder.  This powder really is quite spectacular in real life, with intense fiery sparkles of color.
Close up to try to capture the sparkly powder when I zoom in on an angle.
I layered some gold card stock onto a silver A2 card.  For the black stripe down the left side, I inked a piece of scrap card stock with VersaMark, and added some of the black opal embossing powder, then trimmed it to the size I wanted and added it to the card.  I embossed the verse, and created the backdrop for that the same way I did the strip.

I added all my pieces-parts to the card, some raised up and some directly.  A few rhinestones finish off my sparkly salute to the new year!

A little more Christmas Cheer

Even though Christmas has passed, I still feel a little Christmas-y. And that's not a bad thing. I wish more folks could feel that Christmas wonder throughout the year.  My last card share for 2017 is a simple but stunning one.  It features Pinecone and a sentiment from the set, Gifts of Christmas which is a set of five different Christmas sentiments, great for either the outside or the inside of your holiday cards.

This card started out with a piece of kraft cardstock on which I stamped the pine cone using Versamark creating a very subtle background. I added a white embossed sentiment and a ribbon, then attached the panel to my card base. I added a few drops of Nuvo Drops for interest.

This is a very simple background to create. I hope you give it a try! And don't forget, you can save 10% off your order using the code below:

INSTANT DIVA

Hello Junkies,

I hope your holidays have been full of joy and wonderful moments.

I'm here today with a card I created using stamps I scored through the inventory reduction sale still going on at Technique Junkies store.  There are so many incredible stamps included in the inventory reduction and it's a great opportunity to grab some of our stamps so you can play along and possibly win more stamps in our monthly challenges.

With the new year fast approaching, I wanted to make a celebration card.

I love that diva look on this 1950ish "Bathing Suit Betty" so I paired it with the sentiment "Instant Diva".  Both stamps were purchased from the inventory reduction sale.  After stamping, coloring and masking the bathing suit Betty, I inked up "Waves and Dots Panel" with Carnation Red Archival Ink on a white card stock panel.  I left a portion of the bottom for the sentiment and used a scrap piece of gold cs to edge it.  The sentiment was separately stamped and die cut and edged with gold and black inks.  For the final festive touch, I added gold glitter to the waves and dots with Viva glitter pen.

I hope you found some inspiration here today and don't forget to take a look at the inventory reduction sale and grab yourself some of these great stamps.

If you'd like a little more incentive, use my discount code TJ10Cheri and apply it at check out for any of the other stamps you'd like in the store.

Set your calendars because the Technique Junkie design team is going to be showing off a brand new release on January 1 - New Year's Day!  You'll love these new stamps....I promise.

Happy New Year!

Take the Step

Hello friends! How are you doing today? Hope you all are getting ready to celebrate with family and friends! I am getting ready to close the craft room door for a few days and enjoy movies and relax while I can.
Today, I have a non-holiday card. Probably by now you are done with your cards and want something different, well, you are in the right place :)

For today's project I used this beautiful stamp "Take the Step", distress inks and my MISTI! Super easy project, love how it turned out, I think I will frame it.
  • Start stamping the top part of the image in black ink.
  •  Clean up your stamps, then stamp the whole image in Versamark Watermark ink , then add clear embossing powder.
  •  Use Distress Inks to add more dimension to the project. I used Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Inks.

Die-cut the image and adhere to a couple of coordinated cardstock panels. Card size is 6" square.

You can use my TJ10Giovana code to get a 10% off .

Hope you like it.
Have a great day!

Wintery Christmas

My little snowman is smiling because he feels right at home with this card's snowy trees! Christmas Trees (Set of 6) is a very versatile stamp set. With six different styles of trees, there's sure to be one to fit the style you want.

Here are the images included:
This card features two of the trees: top left and bottom middle.  The trees were stamped a few times each on green cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used decorative scissors to trim them out.  A couple of die cut "hills" and some white gel pen snowflakes on the kraft background set the scene for these cheery trees. After I placed all the elements on the card, I added some Nuvo Drops to a couple of the trees for some bling.

The sentiment is called "All Is Calm" and is currently on inventory reduction for only $1.48! What a bargain!!!! I stamped the sentiment on some red cardstock and die cut the shape. I attached a snip of ribbon and placed it on the card using foam tape.

I then added a little shimmer in the trees with a clear Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you enjoyed the card. Don't forget that you can save 10%* by using the code below:
